So I saw a new Doc..... if you read my siggeh I got an interesting statement from him after my mom asked if I was really bipolar. He's taking me off lithium and wellbutrin but keeping the antipsychotic. I'm 15 I don't think you can diagnose 15 year olds with personality disorders... but obviously he doesn't think my mood is caused by bipolar disorder. I guess when I see him in 4 weeks I'll get a new diagnoses, but what?

I've met 15yos with bi-polar before. It isn't unheard of. The worse thing is having multipul doctors when you're underage though, because you don't have to be kept informed about your diagnosis and your treatment.
No matter what your diagnosis, if you have one make sure you know what it is just so you have a record.
*hugs*

It's not the bipolar that's the problem, I've had that diagnoses for over a year. What I'm confused about is his saying I'm developing a personality disorder and down playing the bipolar.

My answer to a post on the psych forums.
"Don't be silly, I'm not looking for a label. I'm looking for a diagnoses because you can't fix a problem if you don't know what it is. I've been on so many meds getting off a bunch that weren't helping is a releif.
It's not your average stuff trust me, other wise I wouldn't be in and out of the psych hospital alot. For a while I was too much a danger to the other students and went to a partial hospitalization instead of school. I have a superiority complex. ( atleast I admit it, but I figure if I do I won't have to deal with people trying to tell me I'm arrogant because I already know) I don't feel lost and I don't feel alone. I want everyone dead, I'd be happy by myself. A lot of days I don't get out of bed because I can't stand the thought of people. A big reason for the meds is because around people I get severely distressed and homicidle. I have a few people that see me as a friend, fine with me because they respect me for being above them.
I just want to know how to fix this, I don't want to be constantly back in the hospital where you get more remand for disrespecting idiots."
