[Specter of Life]

Neron jestures at the tattoo.

"I've seen that before. It was on a shapeshifter and, as you can tell, I'm slightly cautious around people I don't really know."

He leans back and closes his eyes almost as if he can see the memory unfold in his mind.

"I only saw him when I was a child. But I still remember that tattoo."  

[Priestess Arianna]

The girl instantly became alert. "Did...did the tattoo resemble mine? Color, shape?"  

[Specter of Life]

Neron jumps at the girls sudden movements.
"Y-yeah. Why? I bet you have seen many of your people on your travels. But sadly, you won't find any here. The other humans will see to that."
He pulls out a bottel of water and begins to guzzle it down in harsh, irratic gulps.  

[Priestess Arianna]

The girl's eyes seemed to pierce the very air, they were so intensely fierce. She watched him drink for a few moments, then relaxed slightly, looking away.

"You're going to give yourself hiccups, the way you're drinking that..."

She gave him a sidelong glance. "I never gave you my name, did I? Call me...Fael. How should I call you?"  

[Specter of Life]

After a few more gulps, Neron puts the bottle lid back on and stares back at Fael.

"Neron."

He put the bottle back in his pocket and hold up his amulet while staring into it.

"Well thanks for the help. I guess I better get going."
Neron stands up and checks his belongings and notices that his wallet has been taken.

"God dammit! I knew they took something!"  

[Priestess Arianna]

Fael looked sad, for a moment. "You're...leaving? Already?"

And as Neron exclaimed, she jumped and looked baffled. "Took something? Who?"  

[Specter of Life]

Neron looks back at Fael.
"A patrol from the human army at the castle gates. They thought it would be fun to take advantage of their numbers and threaten me for this."
He holds up the amulet.
" Of course things didn't go as they thought, that how I got wounded in the first place. And now they took my wallet!"
Neron stomps the ground and kicks up dust with anger.  

[Priestess Arianna]

Fael considered. Since she really had nothing better to do for now...

"I could go get it, if it pleases you. Shouldn't take more than an hour or so..."  

[Specter of Life]

Neron looks around to Fael with a supised look on his face.
"No. thats okay."
And with that, starts walking down the path.
"Hey, thanks again."  

[Priestess Arianna]

She looked after him sadly. "You're welcome..."

She sighed, allowed her wings to rip through the back of her shirt, and took to the skies, soaring into the night.  

[Specter of Life]

As Neron walks down the path, he notices a sparkle at the corner of his eye just through the trees. He decides to take a look and stumbles upon a lake, it's water was a clear as glass and glowed a luminous blue.
"Well, what have we here?"
Neron kneels down and inspects the water. Sure that it is safe to drink, he pulls out his bottle and dunks it into the mysterious lake.
