I was at Barnes & Nobel the other day but didn't find anything too good there......rather poor selection of tarot, actually. Only.....3-4 ACTUAL decks...... sweatdrop
Dream Quest was much better. 3nodding If only I had more than $10 there that I spent on Ryan and his 2 vials of Dragons Blood oil..... sweatdrop

I use 'Tarot Of The Old Path' ~ stunning cards with many hidden meanings. Well for me anyway biggrin I personally don't know the meaning of the cards...I don't use a book except for one I've divised myself with bits n bobs I've discovered and wish to remember.
I am also an Empath and it's not uncommon, when I place the cards down, I don't turn I place them down faced up, to feel the quirents emotions or physical ills. I once started a reading and I had to leave the room for a short time as the emotions were so strong and made me feel uneasy. When I returned I was ready for this bonbardment of emotion and felt ok. Anyway, I felt something bad had happened and she'd been left feeling lousy. I emailed her the reading and my concerns. It turned out that something bad HAD happened around the time of the reading, but all was well now.
I will add these reading are via email...lol...I don't leave them sitting there all alone rofl
And before someone suggests it, and there are those in the past who have, I have no desire to block these when I do readings, I find they help my reading and it's also who I am. I am meant to use it for readings, I am sure of it.

A few good places to get good decks are Books a Million and Borders they have a fair good selection of decks.
Those are where I got my tarot decks from and I absolutely love mine.
The decks that I weild are:
The Revelations Tarot
The Goddess Tarot and
The Osho Zen Tarot.

crying I've wanted the Goddess Tarot for sooooo long now. I asked for those from my friend for Christmas last year, and she got me some other cards. They were pretty cool, except i got a bad vibe from them. She said she got a good one from them, so I let her have them. *nods*

I know some ppl say that your first tarot deck should be a gift. I say no. You should buy your own tarot deck if you want. I bought my first tarot deck 5 years ago and I love them (even though they seem to be currently hiding from me crying ). The Unicorn tarot is what they are. Ive thought about getting the Celtic dragon tarot as well.
When my ex-fiance's girlfriend found out that my own tarot deck was bought by me, she went out and bought me a deck. Im not very fond of them (but not because of who they were from). They dont feel right to me.

Uni was with me when I got my first deck. I'm very picky about the artwork in decks. If I don't like the way it looks, it's very likely that I won't like the deck in general. It took me more than a year ot find deck that I liked well enough to buy, and I don't think I would have vibed well with a gifted deck. I don't know that what my friends thought would vibe with me really would. *shrug*

First of all Hi everyone! I'm new to this guild...
I have several decks, I love collecting them. I mainly use the Gilded Tarot, but I also use The Shapeshifter Tarot occastionaly. But the Shapeshifter one is very powerful for me and I don't like to use it unless I really need help with something. Maybe this was mentioned already but if you're really interested in Divination in general I recommend Scott Cunningham's book "Divination for Beginners"

My mom's gonna get my cards and choose the cards that she is pulled to more, (since my mom was a pagan in Highschool and she used Tarot cards ALOT I thought it'd be best since I don't want to wait till 2 weeks -_-) and shes also going to teach me everything about them WOOHOO.

Well also another place to get Tarot cards is (this is only if you live in Kansas or some place that has this store XP) Aquarius which have a HUGE selection of
tarots like I got my cards today and they are the Tarot of Atlantis cards but they had a ton others too

I use angel reading cards. They work pretty well. They told me I'm getting a new psychic ability and a few weeks later I have become an empath. They're amazing.

I bought my first deck yesterday, The Rider-Waite Tarot.
I plan on having multiples.
This is my first time with Tarot. I've only done scrying and Witan Wands up until now. Oh, and Dowsing.
