I'm making a dress, styled like BTSSB, Angelic Pretty, and Metamorphose. It's beautiful, and it makes me happy. It's almost done.
However, I then started thinking, "What else?" I have this wonderful dress... but I need accessories! So, I figured out the other things I need to make. A matching bow for my hair, and socks with frills. But then I started thinking... if the socks had non-elastic lace on them... how do you get them on?
I wish to make a pair like the two girls to the right are wearing:

I was wondering... how do I add the lace, and still be able to get them on? Should I add a drawstring in the lace? Do I make them seperatly and make it so they can clip on?
I'm hoping to have the dress and accessories done so I can wear it on Monday =] Thank you! <333 ~

You will need to gather the lace into elastic while you make the stoppers. This scan is really tiny, but it advises to sew the sock stoppers so that the elastic, the lace and everything is on a bottle (and stretched out while you sew it).

I've added lace on to a couple pairs of socks. Really all you need to do it pull the sock really really tight as you go around stiching the lace on with your machine.
If you don't pull as tight as you can though, the top part might be too tight to fit over your calf. sweatdrop That's happened to me before.
It's pretty easy. ^_^

Ah thank you! This is how I originally thought to do it, but wasn't sure if it would work.
Thanks for confirming it!
EDIT: Your method worked! Thank you! The eyelet lace kinda stuck out a bit when I sewed it, so I just laced some ribbon through it, and it looks perfect!
