James let out a wry grin, "No, that doesn't sound corny at all." He rolled his eyes a little, "Despite what I may be told, I would rather not associate any of the others as 'family'." He gave a snort, "Considering the fact that the lot of them seem to be more idiots than anything else, most of the time .. and I would rather not consider myself related."

Charlie nodded and set his lyre down on the ground.
"Aye. Or they're too immature or vain," he added on to reasons why he only accepted about 7 of his many "family members".
"So, apart from being colr and rather cynical, what else do you do, James?" he asked, smirking a little to show his jest.

"Hm, well, I don't know .." James settled down on the ground, tapping a finger against his chin as he pretended to be lost in thought, "Reading's nice. Or anything, really, that involves lack of others and silence."
He quirked an eyebrow.
"How about yourself? I doubt music is your only passion ... nor is collecting seashells."
The other's smirk was returned with one of his own, though a faint spark of mischief could be found in his eyes.

"Diving. We live on an island and I'm one of the few strong enough to be able to swim well in the waters surrounding the island. There's a coral reef, where I get my shells and the fish that I put in an aquarium in my room," he replied and described a bit of what the reef looked like.
"I'm not all that big on reading, but quiet places are welcome. The only company I don't mind is Tangel's," he added with a small smile, looking off and closing his eyes for a moment.
"Don't know why, but for once I actually look forward to her company, when usually I would avoid it."
