About Her: A japanese high school student, originally from the future, living with her mother. Mai travelled back in time one day when everything in her world went still. Frightened and scared she ran through her town to find everyone seemingly motionless. She came to a lake in the middle of the town, one which wasn't there before and was pushed in by a mysterious force. When she awoke after the fall, she was ina whole new world... the Feudal Era.
Mai has long, pink hair in pigtails, tied together with two light black bows. She has bright yellow eyes like her real father, and loves the colour pink. She always wears a pink turtle neck sweater and skirt with long, white socks and loose pink and white shoes. Over her top, she always wears her favourite red and black sweater her father gave her before he passed.
While in the Fuedal Era, the first person Mai meets is Koga the wolf demon, and she instantly falls for him when he helps her out. She also befriends Inuyasha and his group, along with Sesshomaru, Rin and Jaken. She travels with all 3 groups throughout her time in Feudal Japan, and all are content with her being there. Though she is a half demon, she never changes form, always looking human.
Personality: Mai is a very sweet and outgoing girl. She makes friends easily and loves all of them dearly. While in the fuedal era, she befriends many humans and demons alike, who all accept her as a valuable friend. She tends those who are sick and injured and never asks for anything in return. With all her sweetness though, comes a mysterious side of her. She sometimes acts as though she is alone in the world, and depressed, but rarely ever shows it to anyone. She can also be shy sometimes, especially when she thinks about her mother and father, or when she meets new people. She keeps to herself a lot and doesn't usually share feelings or personal thoughts/info with anyone except Koga and Bankotsu.
Abilities: Mai has magical powers far greater than anyone's in all of the world. She has the ability to bring the dead back to life, even when they've been devoured or turned to dust(she brings bankotsu back). She is also able to run fast, fly and sometimes transform. Depending on who she is around at the time, she can easily steal or mimic their powers and use them herself. She even accidentally re-created the Shikon Jewel when she first landed in Fuedal Japan and her powers awakened. Now she has possesion of the Jewel and a whole new battle has begun.
