Kurrin I think I might be in the wrong place....I would like membership in this Fan Art for Newbies guild, because I'm looking for some artistic practice...I clicked the link from the original art page but could not find anything that looked like a membership application thread. If I'm in the wrong place could someone please redirect me? Thank you! =^-^= You're not in the wrong place.... Actually, because this is a public guild, anyone and everyone can post here, with or without being a member. But if you really want to sign up, then click on the button on the "Guild Forum" page, or the "Guild Home" page that says "Request to Join". Just type up a reason or two why you want to join, and myself or one of the other mods will accept you. But other than that, if you're looking at being an artist, make a new thread with a brief explenation about yourself, your art, and some examples of your art, and it should be good (If you want, just have a look at some other artists threads, and see what they've done) 3nodding But apart from all that, Welcome to teh FAAFN ^_^

About Requesting to join:
First thing to note is that we all have lives outside of Gaia, so don't be suprised if it takes a while to have your request approved or denied (Which is why it's taken me a while to sort through the latest batch of requests.... ).
Another thing is that while a person may have been denied from joining, it doesn't mean that they're not welcome here. The FAAFN is open to all, and we enjoy having many people around. If you have been denied membership, most likely it has something to do with the reason as to why you want to join. A person who says "i like art" or "i am new" is not likely to be accepted. While we all like art, and we were all new once, you should at least try and be interesting or original. A person who says "I am a new person to Gaia, and I would like to get to know people. I like to draw, and I think avatar art is cool" is more likely to be accepted. Their reason is pretty much the same as the other two examples, but they're polite and put more thought into it than the others.
But other than that, have fun ^_^

You might wait a while, it took me a while, but then again, you never know. I had thought neb was quitting but he still pops up, it's strange

O_o (Wants to join but is waiting for acceptance or denial) Well, while it's true that there's nothing stopping you from making your own artist thread before being accepted, it is preferable that you at least be patient as it appears that I'm the only one sorting through the applications at the moment. Although, now that I have sorted through the list now, I must commend you on your request, for it's by far one of the better ones that I've seen so far. So, go forth, have fun, and get drawing ^_^

Sorry for taking so long for some of you....But it appears that I'm the only mod actually doing any modding (Pokes Aitai and hado ninja )...
But anyways....If you were denied your request to join...Don't take it the wrong way. You can still post here, both in the guild, and in the main thread in the Art Freebies forum....So don't fret....We still care 3nodding

Hello everyone, I;m new to the guild..I havent set up my thread yet.. sweatdrop I;m a bit hesitant to do so, a few people like my art style, but not alot.. I'll make one just in case. I actually only have one picture available, all my others are on a frineds computer. I;m still new to the wonderful world of drawing, and I am inm NO way realistic..at all..ever......yet.... sweatdrop Crappy arts xd :  Once i can get my others up, I will post them. I also have a sample of some 'oil painting' esque work I am trying to get into:  If you guys have any suggestions, feel free to speak up and be heard! ^_^ meh... sweatdrop
