yay, someone made a thread! *happy* I perfer sub, but it's hard to get in america, sometimes any is good... and anime is expensive xp

Sub sub sub sub sub sub sub! I don't want to waste my precious money on dub ;-; although I will watch dub on TV if it's there and I _need_ to watch anime _now_ o.o
The Japanese version generally sounds more appealing to my ear than the dub actors if you ask me. @_@;

Um...eh...either one depending on what the series is actually. Like for Hellsing, I think that it sounds better dubbed, it is based in England you know.
For other things, sub is all right. Certainly makes it easier to make fun of it, which is what we do in the anime club no matter what the series is. We made fun of 'X' for crying out loud!

I like subs better. The only time I actually thought the dubbed was better then the subbed was Golden Boy because the guy they got for Kintaro was amazing. I mean DAMN he was better then the JApanese voice actor... then you learn. That is the ONLY main character role he ever got. All his other work is like, man on street 2, soilder 1, guy in crowd, and so on.
I get subs by getting DVD. Gotta love the duel language and it just sound more realistic. So many dubbing company ruin a character for the vastly mismatched voice.

Actually I like both. Dubs got me into anime. I like subs a lot too. Most times it's better than the dub but some dub actors just suit the character more. And at first subs were difficult for me because I was a slow reader, but not any more.
