I usually go for peanut butter and banana sandwhiches when I'm going weird.
And I thought EVERYONE did the potato chips in sandwhich thing. Don't they?

Wolffy000 And I thought EVERYONE did the potato chips in sandwhich thing. Don't they? Too crunchy for my tastes, so not everyone does it, unless I don't count as part of 'everyone'. I loathe crispy-crunchy sandwiches.

Hey Pasta See, I can't pull off anything with peanut butter or peanuts. Allergic.
I dunno, did they? Which is almost amusing, because of Hey Peanut being your counterpart. And I guess I meant by everyone, the popular majority would. It's not like people don't have their individual tastes or anything, but that more people would do that, then say put cream cheese in salad or mayo on rice.

Best Sammich Ever:
Cold cuts of some sort. Roast beef. Chicken. Turkey. Ham. The meat doesn't matter, just as long as it's in quantity. A mixture of all the above is excellent.
Lettuce. Crispy good stuff, the kind you get at a fancy restaurant on your burger. GREEN lettuce. None of that white stuff you get in a round head from the grocery store. Like one or two leaves or so.
Pickles. Dill. Sliced lengthwise. Like sandwich-slice or whatnot. They add a hint of sour, which is delightful, but they're completely optional if you're not a picklepuss.
Cranberry Honey Mustard. You can get it from Sara Lee, or Hickory Farms. Or you can get mustard, mix in some honey, add some cranberry sauce. This is absolutely required. The combination of this and the next ingredient is what makes the sandwich.
Sour Cream. Yes. I said Sour Cream.
Cheese of some sort. Except not that nasty "American Slices" or kraft slices or any that comes in individually-wrapped slices and tastes like chilled plastic. I reccomend provolone, mozzarella, pepperjack, pepperoni-cheddar, colby, AND munester. All of them. Cheese is god.
Toast Yer Bread. It's an absolute must. If your bread is not toasted, the sandwich will flop about like a seasick salmon. If using white bread, toast until it's about a nice shade of "golden." If using wheat or a darker bread, toast it until it's DRY and toasted, none of that "the outer layer is dry but inside it's moist and squishy." If the bread is toasted like that, your sandwich fails.
Put the Cranberry Honey Mustard on one slice of bread, and slather on an inch or so of sour cream on the other slice. Put a lettuce leaf on the sour cream, then start stacking up the cheese, cold cuts, pickles, and additional lettuce.
When you're done, ideally, it should be about six inches tall.
It's the best sandwich ever.
...
I can't eat popcorn, but to the fellow who likes sugar in his popcorn: Try Kettle Corn sometimes.
Ayuta... did you ever hear that poem as a child? "I eat my peas with honey / I've done so all my life / They do taste kinda funny / but it keeps them on the knife"? xd
I'm kinda flip-floppy when it comes to name brands. Overall, I tend to prefer the name brand, because the quality and flavor are usually better. But then, sometimes the generic brands can be just as good. Mac & Cheese? It doesn't matter which brand I get, as long as the noodles aren't shaped like cartoon characters. I add lots of real cheese to the noodles, so the flavor isn't much of an issue.
In fact, whenever I make anything, I often add things to it in the interests of "improving" the flavor. Canned soups get herbs and sometimes extra veggies. Ramen gets whatever leftover meats happen to be in the fridge, lots of herbs and spices, and sometimes veggies as well. Eating things straight out of a box or can is against my religion, I consider the packaged foods just a "starting point" toward a much better dish.
And if I don't have an ingredient, I'm not afraid to improvise. mrgreen

I've actually never tried a pretzel sandwhich, pretzels seem almost too disctinct for a sandwhich to me. But alas, I must try it!
@Rayinite: Yes, I've tried kettle corn. It is quite good, but it just amused me to watch her make regular popcorn and put butter and sugar all over it. And it was still pretty good. (In my head, carmelized corn and adding sugar to popcorn are two different things)
And, well, now I have to try that sandwhich. It sounds very tasty.
I wonder if this is going to turn into a weird recipie thread?

I am too a chip and sammich eater. SAMMICH.
I can't eat regular mayo. It reminds me too much of fat in a more natural state.
I can eat gallons of Miracle Whip "salad dressing" and it looks like I'm alone here.
Speaking of sammiches, somewhere along the line I turned into the type of person who can go into the kitchen and as long as I'm armed with two pieces of bread I can make a halfway decent sandwich out of pretty much anything.
Decent meaning I'll eat it. I've been known to snack on nothing but relish and toasted bread, though. Condiment sammiches are another specialty of mine. sad
Oh, and I'm spoiled enough to not eat pepper unless it's freshly ground.

Out of curiousity, have you ever tried fresh mayo or tried making your own? And my girlfriend used to be into Miracle Whip, where I was the one who sticks to regular mayo. I'm not sure what the difference is, but you can definately taste it. Conidment saandwhiches were a plenty in my childhood, but they're still much better than "Wish sandwhiches" (I actually say 'sammich' in real life, but generally spell 'sandwhich'. Weird)
