Have you ever put something off so much that it becomes impossible to do?
Being a huge procrastinator, this has happened way too often for me.
Once instance involved my computer. The poor thing was getting a new virus every minute, and I was too lazy to check my anti-virus stuff to make sure they're working. I did run a scan every day, but they never really helped. I think one of the scans came up with over 1000 viruses. Eventually Windows 2000 Professional was no longer usable: Several programs failed to work, Gaia online was impossible to use, I couldn't open the hotmail homepage. And, when searching for my music files, I found pr0n. crying It was too late to clean out the computer.
Computer over. Virus = very yes. We ended up reformatting it completely. No more stuff.
Also... My room. xd I look at pictures of clean bedrooms, I see my friends' wonderfully organized rooms every time I visit. The main reason mine isn't like that is because it's too messy to clean. Trying to clean one thing means cleaning another, and that's impossible without moving more stuff. The farthest we've got was a clean floor, but the closets are still stuffed with crap. Not to mention, the clothes piles will explode onto the floor again in no time at all. That probably didn't make sense, but oh well. xd

I can sympathize, I do the same thing.
Not with my computer, but definately with my room. And sadly, school. And work, and too many other things. At times even eating and sleeping.
"Eh, I'll go to bed after [this]" "I'll get something to eat once I finish [that]"
Never happens.

Yeah. I keep meaning to go through my brother's room and claim the things I left in there when I traded rooms with him LAST YEAR ... sweatdrop
Someday I'm going to get some big organization bins and clean/organize my room. Really. Someday... And then I'll get rid of all the unwanted furniture and put in something nicer. And get better storage. And all that good stuff.
Yeah.
*cough*

gonk I am horrible about that sort of thing...
"I'll come over as soon as I finish this... like 10 minutes max"
--2 hours later--
"no for real this time, just let me finish this up and I'll be there" xd
Just one of many examples xd

Mom: Shawna, get off the computer and do the dishes! Me: Just a minute, I'm in the middle of something... (15 minutes later) Mom: Shawna! Me: Hold on... (Thirty minutes later, I go to bed.) ...And Mom ends up doing the dishes. She's never happy when that happens. :U

Dishes gonk
There's a massive pile right now. I think the only clean things are a few mugs, a couple of bowls, a few random utensils, and the tiny, tiny pot you can barely heat up a can of chili in. O_o And of course, since there's soooo many dirty dishes, I don't want to do any of them.
I did get started on the task of collecting all the old newspapers from around the apartment, though. There's actually a bit of floor showing in the bedroom. It needs vacuumed. gonk

Heh. When I clean the layer of stuff covering my bedroom carpet, I find the carpet underneath pristine. No crumbs, no particles, just clean carpet. It's like the clothes and papers and boxes and s**t are a band-aid, protecting the carpet underneath. wink
Except when the fleas hatch, of course. Damn fleas. ><

My room gets like that. I swear, I haven't full-out cleaned it since I was twelve. I can see the floor (in some spots) but if it's dirty, I can't tell, 'cause the carpet's this disgusting brown color. Ick.
And yeah, I put off eating and sleeping for Gaia. Shame on me.

I do this a lot too. Especially with homework. I'll be on the computer, usually on Gaia, and think that I'll do it later, until eventually it gets so late, I put it off until the morning. Then, I don't do it until aobut 20 mimnutes before school starts. gonk
My room is incredibly messy too. About the only place you can see any significant space of floor is where the door goes over when its opened. When it's the holidays my mum tries to get me to tidy it, but I put it off, fof cours.e When I do try, I just get distracted by old things I'd forgotten about/not seen in a while. >_>

I was an hour late for work yesterday. I'm currently 20 minutes late and still on the computer.
And I'm in absolutely no rush.

Currently, I've been putting off getting ready for college. I am just terrified of the next step into adult life. Bills, full-time jobs, full-time student... It's just going to overwhelm me and I'll break down and cry for a full weekend.
Yes, I have things boxed up ready to go, but that's because I'm excited about moving away. I just don't want to face all the mean adult things that will just make me miss being a kid. It's very scary for me, so I've been putting it off until today.
And now I can't do anything because my parents need to talk to my principal about a few things. And they are worse procrastinators than me. So it will be close to fall until I can do a blasted thing.

I always put things off. sweatdrop One thing I need to change is putting off school work. It gets so bad that I have a total breakdown before a major paper/project is due. Other things I put off aren't so bad...but if I say that I'll do something then don't, I feel horrible.
And I need to clean my room again. Keep telling myself to put stuff away when I'm done with them...but I'm lazy. It gets bad after a while since my room's so small and I've got so much stuff.
I keep saying that I would stop putting things off...but I keep putting that off as well. ._.;
