Smithwillsuffice... effiekitty I got 'The Two Swords' (RA Salvatore) this holiday! Woot! Also, if I could offer a suggested Reading: KUSHIELS DART by Jacqueline Carey The story is for more mature audiences, but with the intrigue, politics, war, love, seduction... *sigh* Ah, it was a fabulous read! Sounds almost like Harry Turtledove... anyone here ever read him? Nope, never read any Turtledove, but I'll make a note to look for that Author on my next trip to the library. Um... if anyone here reads SALVATORE and wants a spoiler concerning the Two-Swords I'm putting here in white: DRIZZT DOESN'T DIE. AGAIN.*giggle* Hope you enjoyed that. blaugh

Turtledove's alittle 'risque', so consider thyself forewarned.
Just got done reading Brave New World for English, and I'd par that one next to Cuckoo's Nest... It was one of those books where I just kept saying, "One more chapter, then I'll go to bed.... Ok, just one more... What time is it again? Ok then just one more..."

Well folks, if you're in the philosophical mood, I must recommend
Title: Parmenides Author: Plato Reason: If you can get past the first ten pages without an aneurism(?), one of the best philosophical works of all time. Deals with perception and the 'forms'...

The first one is on an e-book if you want to read online. Do a google search for John Dalmas and go to his website and then click on his books. I did at one time borrow them from the library. It's been a couple of years and I am going to re-read them.

Title: Any of the A Series of Unfortunate Events books Author: Lemony Snicket Reason: They are really good. Even my mom enjoys them. And each book gets better and better. I liked the Austere Academy and the Ersatz Elevator the best.
Title: Silence of the Lambs Author: Thomas Harris Reason: If you liked the movie you'll love the book! They do differ in a few ways and I'm sure very few will notice them. (Note: Not for the weak-minded)

Snicket's a wonderful author. No question about that. And Jim Carey is a wonderful Count Olaf for those of you yet to see the movie. That movie is one of the few that actually managed to stay on-par with the books it's based off of. 3nodding
And of course, I absolutely have to reccommend Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It is quite easily my favourite in the series now, and well worth the wait we endured to be blessed with it. HP fans rejoice!
