Naruto snuggles her close as she tries to get the somewhat angry to a more softer one, and he smiles at her words. He quickly dips his head down to kiss her on her lips, savoring the feeling before pulling back. He gulps, know he had better ask now or he would chicken out. "Rikku...would you....go on a date....with me?" he asks, blushing.

Smiling up at him Rikku crinkles her nose, giggling as she rubs their noses together. "We've already been on dates, silly 'Ruto."
Pulling bck she tilts her head to the side. A surprised look crosses her face as she studies the differences in this blush; the nervousness behind it. Her mouth makes a little 'o' & her eyes widen a little even as they start to shimmer with an inner thrill of excitement. "You mean a real date? Picking me up & taking me somewhere? Oh 'Ruto!!"
She squeezed him fiercely and kissed him energetically. When she calmed down a little she looked t him lmost shyly. "I'd love to!!"

Naruto was almost disappointed that Rikku didn't seem to get what he meant by a date, but that was soon replaced by happiness when she got excited and kissed him. He kisses her back and is thrilled when she said she would love to. In his excitement he wraps his arms around her waist and swings her around happily, whooping in joy.
He sets her back down on her feet, blushing, but smiling happily, "That's great!! When did you wanna go?" he asks.

Rikku squealed happily with delight as she was swung around, beaming at him with breathless adortion when they stopped. "When?" Rikku scrunched her face cutely as she thought about it. Then she giggled, kissing his nose. "Why, whenever you want!" Still giggling she snuggled into Naruto. "You've got first dibs on my time, Ruto. You should know that. Especially now."

"O-ok, how about...three days from now? I'll take you out some place to eat and then maybe catch a movie?" he says, his tail wagging at a fast pace in his excitement over his date with his....girlfriend!

Tenderly stroking his face Rikku nods enthusiastically. "Three days? Sure!" She grinned impishly at Naruto before adding. "It's a date!"
Then of course she could not help but giggle. "You gonna tell me before we go what kind of place? Or am I going to have to guess what to wear?" The look she gave him was pure teasing. Already her mind was skimming through the possibilities.

Naruto scratchs the back of his head. He certainly didn't think of where to take her, he was too nervous just getting to the asking part. "Well, I will find out tomorrow and probably send Sophie with a message for you! And then you can send one back saying where you live so I can find it!" he says, smiling.

She clapped her hands & kissed him. "You don't have to tell me where if you don't want. As long as you let me know what type of place so I don't where a fancy dress to a coffee shop or anything!" Rikku giggled again, giddy with the notion. Her -- on a date! With Naruto!
"As for where I live... I can show you now." With a wink she leaned towards the idling machina & tapped out a few strokes on the display screen. A small hum & a few seconds later an aerial map apeared, showing the directions from the shop to Bass'ken Lake then to a path leading into the forest nearby. "I can't print up a copy 'til I'm in my workshop though." She frowned slightly, as if thinking that perhaps she should have somehow seen this need before hand & outfitted the hover-cycle to be able to print as well.
Then as she brushed the thought aside Rikku tilted her head cutely at the shinobi. "Will you be telling Yunie & Tidus? & Mir & Morgana?"

Naruto's blue eyes go wide with amazement over the map suddenly in the air in front of them, but his eyes scan the pathway. It looked easy enough to get there on foot, and he was sure he could convince Dimitrus to give him a ride there and maybe to the city. He nods to himself once he feels he has the way to Rikku's home stored in his memory and he smiles. He was sure he could convince Moochi to increase his allowance just this one time so he could take Rikku out on a proper date!
Deciding the next course of action would have to be at home, he scratchs the back of his head, smiling sheepishly, "I'll probably only tell Morgana, she would be the only one that wouldn't get all squealy on me. Maybe Yuna and Tidus if they aren't too kissy face with each other."
He sighs, knowing he would have to leave now to get things ready for his date in three days, "Well, I better get going, but I will probably send Sophie your way some time tomorrow. Take care of yourself Rikku." He wraps his arms around her again and kisses her tenderly before pulling away, whispering, "I love you..." against her lips. He then pulls away fully, and with a sad smile, turns and jogs away, down the path to his own home.

Rikku lets herself melt into the too-brief kiss, savoring it & storing it aways to fall asleep to. Her eyes are tender as she mumurs happily. "Love you too, Naruto." Feeling a little thrill run through her once more at the words, both hers & his but mostly Naruto's.
She watches him joff off for a minute, then breathes heavily before swinging her leg over the hover-cycle. Rikku taps to make the map go away even as she sets the machina to autopilot for the destination on-screen. The l Behd is giddy, sad, happy, disappointed, & so many other emotions she can not put words or meanings to them. Predominantly she is giddy -how could she not be? Yunie, Tidus, being in love & knowing it, dancing... & to top it all off -a real date! Everything else was minor, fleeting. Even her saddness at having to part with Naruto & her disappointment at having to sleep alone accounted for only a small drop withinn the overwhelming sea of emotions stirring her.
It made her exhausted, & Rikku was very glad as the hover-cycle sped towards home in the dark that she only had to keep a partial eye on things that the autopilot could not react fast enough to. It let her keep an image of Naruto securely in the fore of her thoughts.
