I think it helped that Dynamite embraced the "yeah, this is stupid. So what?" feel of the whole thing.

Well, yeah, I thought like, "This is stupid... But... It's Evil Dead... They can get away with anything." But still, that pretty much leaves it as a Evil Dead comic with Xena in it. I'm pretty sure that any Xena fans wouldn't be too crazy about it, unless they happen to like the Evil Dead franchise.

The Bruce Campbell connection probably means there's more Xena/Evil Dead fans than expected, though I'm not one of them. Besides, I think after crossing over with the classic monsters, Herbert West, the Marvel Zombies, and Darkman, this is hardly that strange....I just wish that Freddy vs Jason vs Ash could've been theatrically realized....
