I've never even heard of Silver Ravenwolf and that...Wow...I'm glad I found the right site, and the right book (Scott Cunningham's "Wicca: For the Solitary Practitioner") when I became a wiccan...

i used it to scare off a new wave of Jehovah's witnesses once. They still came back but it got them away for about three weeks. i have to say that the color and herb guides are useful, untill i accually get myself to copy them down. i'm so lazy about that....
But I've looked at Scott Cunningham's stuff and he's a good teacher for this.

Shinys I've read three of her books, and I do beleive that she is the sole creater of 75% of the american fluffies... stare All of her books are a bit bad and wishy washie, but her 'Teen Witch' book is the worse, and it's aimed at teens that are just starting and don't know better. rolleyes ...Ah, that could explain why I've never heard of her. I'm Canadian.

I would just like to say I totally agree. I never ever bought one of her books and actually never fully read one. When I was first starting out I would skim through a book to see if it was good. At this time I did know a little and would like to belive I have a good ability to tell the difference between plausable good information and crap. I would also like to suggest DJ Conway and a book called The Pocket Guid to Wicca. It was my first book and has a lot of good basic infomation.

*nods* sad to say I have three of her books... but two were gifts... and they are all old... *nods*
I do use them ocasonally for things like color references and thebian when I need to, but that's all very basic info that even she couldnt' mess up LOL.
