The land of Eterno Noite, a land forever cursed by a perpetual darkness, cursed by a force whose name has long since been forgotten, save for a few, those who delve into all things historical, as a mole digs through the dirt. Man, through great ingenuity and genius has been able to survive, creating a light source, part machine, part sorcery. Though this source is powerful, it is only so in small areas, in the larger cities there are many, creating the illusion of a real sun, many who live there chose to believe that the light is true and forget the fact that it is but smoke and mirrors. There are a few though who believe in the old legends. That far to the north, past a bleak frozen waste land there is a great power, a great power called the Soleil, which can restore nature?s true sun. Fewer still actually seek the power; this is where they come to, the small town of Duurhetlys, the last light to the north. Many of the townsfolk are weary of the travelers, those who have invaded their humble town. All those who come to Duurhetlys have to wait out the bitter winter months before they can even consider starting a trek. This is the tale of those long winter months. The townsfolk fear more than the mere human adventurers in there town, there is rumor of strange people who can lift thing just by looking at them, people who transform into beasts of any nature at will, some with powers akin the alchemist, and many more. There are even those townsfolk who have organized a group devoted to repealing these demons and sending them back to there creators, though mere human, these demons, these gifted should still be weary of the Blood. They are not above employing demons who wish to denounce their evil ways. *The time period is like our 1600s -Machinery is just becoming useful and firearms are at a minimum, the sword still rules. -Oh and nobody try to go after the power, that?s for another RP. *This is the Town of Duurhetlys, be wary of my rules. (I'd add rules but I assume you're in this guild for a reason.)

No darkness could compare to those that she saw. Etichi was blind, had been since she was born, actually... No, she hadn't been born blind. She remembered many things, before loosing her sight. It wasn't until the town killed her parents had she lost her sight.
Yes, I had been able to escape... The small voice spoke in her mind. Sounds from the cobblestone streets she treaded upon made echoed along. Sounds of market and bartering came from all around her. But all I did was suceed in what they wanted to do in the begining.. Blind me... If only I hadn't stumbled... If only I hadn't fell.... She was at her destinaion. Sitting down on the soft blanket laid between a stand of fish and a stand of jewerly trinkets, she set out the sign.
"Gifted Healer - looking to travel. 1 copper per ailment."

Denorian's boots skidded across the icy. snow covered cobblestones as he rounded a corner in a back alley. He took a moment to look over his shoulder to see the men with swords still pursuing him.
"Damn it...fools." He thought to himself.
As he ran he toppled crates and barrels in an effort to slow the men but to no avail. He rounded one final corner and to his surprise, and displeasure, it was a dead-end. But, being what he was, it didn't cause too much of a problem. Without skipping a beat he leaped towards the wall, kicked himself up a little more before sinking his now formed claws into the crumbling brick wall. He pulled himself up just in time to avoid being seen by his would be captors.
"Where has the demon gone?" Growled one of the men. The posse took off down another street in search of their prey.
"I've about had enough of those bastards, that the second time this week they came after me, stupid Blood." Denorian growled silently to himself as he walked towards the other end of the rooftop.

((Sorry I haven't posted, two reasons for that; 1. No Internet connection all day, 2. I'm trying to figure out how a blind girl and a mute guy are suppose to communicate. Give me a minute more to think and I'll try something. Nope, doesn't work, I can't write anything and give it justice I'll try again tomorrow.))

((If THAT isn't the question of the century, then Goddamnditall it should be xD How about you go and try to get healed, and when she understands you can't speak, she'll heal you... Or try to anyways >___< So that, maybe they can understand each other... Yeah xDD))
Her hands moved over the broken skin. THe small boy she was healing wimpered softly, but not so much as the parent who'm had brought the child to her. Etichi smiled, removing her hands, "There you go. All done." The child was ripped away, a small clink was made as her copper payment hit the blanket. She picked it up, and slipped it into her sleeve.
She listened to them walk away, wondering if someday, somehwo she'd ever find away to see. Then she'd go and find that same little boy... He was the only person she had met in many years that wasn't... Afraid... That... Didn't take her for a monster, but actually remained calm and, well, acted alright. Children, it seemed, understood the fine innerworkings of the world better than their parents. They also had a gentler touch and a finer control of their personal being, to some extent. In a lot of ways, as one grew older on this place, they also grew blinder... No pun intended.

Denorian waited a moment before jumping down off the rooftop, though it was a two story building, the landing barely phased him. He walked around the corner and out into the busy street. He looked up and down the street, seeing no Blood, he continued along his way. A moment later he saw a girl sitting on a blanket against a wall, he paid no mind until he saw the sign. "Gifted Healer".
"Uh-oh" Denorian thought, "with all the Blood around, that sign gonna cause some trouble." He stopped in front of the girl and tried to get her attention, then he saw her eyes.
"Great she's blind." Denorian tried to think of how to tell her to run and short of picking her up and carting her off he couldn't think of anything.

She saw a building up ahead, of her travels. Being as hungry as she was she quickly ran to it.
"I wonder if it's owned." she said.
