I've heard some rumors about the best of the best in the military. Men tougher than a squad of marines, and five Green Berets put together. Men capable of killing you without you even knowing. I'm talking about the U.S. Black Ops. Supposedly the orgin of the "Splinter Cell" games, these soldiers are higher ranked than even Special Operation soliders. Only five of them are at each military base in the world. Now I might be the only one who doesn't know about the Black Ops, and am making a complete idiot of myself, but I want to know what you think. Black Ops: A legend, or the greatest soldier ever seen?

I for one would be very surprised if something like that didn't exist. Maybe not exactly like you described, but definitely a soldier more elite than the known SEALs... although it could just be that the SEALs are in the best of the best, it is already clear they do tons of black ops missions that never hit headlines ever. But as for something like Delta Force, I believe its highly likely. After all if our government can keep air planes secret for so long how much easier would it be to keep a unit of soldiers secret.

The rifle instructor I had at a summer camp said he was in the Black Ops.
Well, not up front mind you, we had to fish it out of him after someone asked if he was ever in the military. He says "I have been to places I've never been."
That was the first time somebody told me 'If I told you, I'd have to kill you.'

The "Black Ops" guys are first and foremost "Forward Combat Controllers" trained by the Air Force (That's right, the "Chair Force") but are cross-trained with Recon Marines, SEALs, Green Beret, and other Spec. Ops.
The types of people usually found for this type of job are "loners" and people who "wouldn't be missed if they disappeared for eighteen months." These guys are known more widely as Delta Force.
The way they operate is to go in quickly, tear the place apart for anything and everything that can be killed or captured depending on the mission and as they are on the way out the perform the duties assigned to them on any official paperwork and call in an air strike from a temporary location behind enemy lines. Granted this information comes from the late seventies and early eighties and are mostly eye-witness accounts from those who declined the position, it is from some trusted sources.
(Navy Divers, think about your diving instructors. Most were in the Air Force to begin with and were never in the Navy.)
Even though they are trained initially by the Air Force and hold "Official" USAF positions, they wear no rank and come from any branch so long as they fit the criteria.

Even though they are trained initially by the Air Force and hold "Official" USAF positions, they wear no rank and come from any branch so long as they fit the criteria. my stepdad was with battlefield deception with the 101st airborne division us army and that's black ops he wasn't in the airforce delta force is the army most of the recruits come from special forces and the 75th ranger regiment. black ops is not a group it is a mission that the united states does not acknowledge to ever exist. black ops mission are carried out by any branch. but mainly it is only special ops groups or a certain part of a division ie. battlefield deception, 101st airborne in my stepdad's case

I know for a fact they exist. I've met them personally. We ran up on them when the war started they were the only people ahead of us when we breached the burm.
