After helping out a young lady new to Asatru in the Morality/Religion discussion group, I put together this list of web sites:

Asatru--Wikipedia
The Wikipedia entry on Asatru.

Encyclopedia Mythica: Norse Mythology
A helpful page explaining Norse Mythology in considerable detail with a number of useful links.

The Havamal
The Havamal from the Poetic Edda, available online.

Huginn and Muninn
A Heathen search engine.

The Irminsul Aettir Page
A detailed web page with an online library, calendar of events, and information on runes and Norse religion.

The Poetic Edda
The complete text of the Poetic Edda, translated by Benjamin Thorpe.

Raven Online
A basic introduction to Asatru.

The Voluspa
The Song of the Sybil from The Poetic Edda, also available online.

The Viking Answer Lady
The name says it all!

Have fun exploring these web pages!

asatru.org's version of the song of sybil isn't the best I've seen. In fact I think that the translation is rather bad.. and that's just one of the many small problems I have with that site.

But all in all the information isn't bad.. it's probably just my slight OCD tendancies and my want to have things "correct" that works me up...
I just get irretated at poor translations.. and especially when people mix Frigg with Freya...

Heilsan Miniar ok Allir,

I think it's important that people do get it right and that we revise things as time passes, to re-interpret things as new information comes to hand. It's one reason I like to continue to research both online resources as well as books. My reading list is rather extensive. If you ever choose to do some translations of your own, I'd be very happy to host them.

Hey I didn't see this link anywhere, so I thought I would post it:

Asatru-U: Asatru Beginner's Course

I have an Asatru page at Tripod, it has quite a few links there also, including some links to valuable videos on Youtube :
My Asatru Pages
Sorry for the "shameless plug" - can I get away with it if I say I'm "Boasting"? hahaha sweatdrop

I tried the link to Poetic Edda and it doesn't seem to be working. I have this site that has them. I learned about it from a teacher when I was taking a world religions class. I haven't looked through all the links on here but I know it's a reliable source for the other translations.
