The screen was big and the colors were bright. She couldn't help but stare at it as the images flashed by. There were arrows and there was music. Music. Loud, bouncing, happy music with a solid beat.

Oh, she was sooo there.

She plucked a few coins from her tiny pouch, popping three of them into the machine before standing on the dance pad. There were arrows all around her; front, back, left and right. Simple enough. When an arrow passed by on the screen all she had to do was step on it. That would be easy enough. Easy peasy.

Her paw moved and she poked at the button, scrolling through the songs until she found one that she could settle for. Yes, this one would be good to start with. Happy, upbeat... And on easy. One... Two... Go! Eyes watched the colors flashing before her, feet managing to keep up with the beat for the moment. Not too hard at all. Good!

The upbeat music attracted more than one Audio to the scene. Out wandering on his own once again, the feather winged Demyx bounced over closer to the source of noise. Grinning from ear to ear, the spastic one stopped a bit short when he realized someone else was already playing his favorite game...

No matter though, perfect time to make a new friend, right?

"Um....hi there?"

Tails swaying back and forth to the beat, the angelic one watched the other dance with perked ears. Now mostly stationary, Demyx allowed his wings to fold back into place on his back. Of course, a few feathers still managed to stick up in odd places. It seemed his wings had remained affected from the time he had let them drag on the ground limply.

"Having fun?"

Eyes bright, the sitarist awaited the other's answer.

When the song came to an end she turned, bright blue eyes going wide at the sight of... WINGS. Woah. The only other one she'd seen that looked anything like her had funny ears... But he didn't have wings.

"Hi!" Her voice was bright and cheery, a smile curing her lips to cover up the stunned suprise that was seeing the wings. "Yes, I am! I'm getting better, I think. I have another song to do... Wanna play?" Hopefully he would want to. If he liked the music nearly as much as she did he'd probably be really good at it.

"Neat coat! I'm Roxette. Who're you?"

"Sure!"

Grin still wide, the sitarist hopped onto the machine next to the other audio.

"Thanks, my name's Demyx! This game is really good for exercise, and after some practice you'll be really good at it!"

A single tail swaying, the young sitarist stood on the pad and waited for the other to make a selection as far as music went.

"Whatever you want to dance to is fine by me."

She gave a little bounce on the balls of her feet, shifting slightly before reaching forward to paw through the music. "Hmmm..." There were sooo many songs and each one seemed to have a reason why it would be the greatest ever to try and dance to.

It was a hard choice but, finally, she settled on one called 'Cartoon Hero'. She tapped the pad beneath her foot, touching her toes to make the arrows move a bit faster. "M'kay. Y'ready, Demyx?"

"I'm ready if you are."

Demyx grinned back at the other, tapping his own paw to make the arrows faster. He was normally a very akward and clumsy person, but this was one game he was rather graceful at. Difficulty set, the young sitarist swayed and awaited the start of their little jam session.

"I'm always ready." Her grin was bright as she flashed it in his direction before returning her attention to the screen before her. She pressed the button to start the song, giving her hips a little wriggle before bouncing right along with each arrow's movement on the screen.

The more she played the more she was enjoying this game and it seemed to be even better with someone moving alongside her, even if they were both moving at different speeds. Next round she'd do her best to see if she could match his paces. That would be the true challenge.

Demyx had bounced right along with her in the beginning, but it wasn't long before his side of the screen grew very busy with arrows and he had to pick up the pace to keep up. Still, he seemed to be doing just fine. The young blonde was even -grinning-, when most others would probably be flailing just to keep up.

Tearing his eyes from the screen for a brief moment, Demyx chanced a look at the female beside him to see how she was doing. Hrm, she seemed to be doing pretty good...maybe soon she'd move to a faster pace and they'd have even more fun. Flashing a grin, he turned his gaze back to the arrows and continued playing.

They seemed to be racing towards the end of the song, bouncing to the beat as their paws moved over the arrows. This was... Crazy, fantastic, absolutely amazing! She found herself laughing as the song came to an end, giggles falling from her lips even as she tried to catch her breath.

"Wow, Demyx, you're really good at this! I didn't think anyone could possibly move that fast... This game is awesome!" She was going to have to either find a way to get a copy of it for herself... Or spend more time around here.

Demyx stood panting next to his newfound friend, but the grin still plastered on his face showed that despite the need to catch his breath, he had been having fun.

"I've had a lot of practice..."

The angelic turned, fixing his grin on the female.

"There's a home version too, I play that a lot to keep in shape for it."

Playing it at 2am wasn't always the most enjoyable thing for the other inhabitants of the castle, but at least the sitarist kept himself occupied.

"I'm sure I'd drive someone crazy if I played all the time." She laughed, reaching up to run her fingers over the soft fur between here ears as if brushing hair back.

Hair... Wow. He had that too. She found herself staring for a moment, fur on her cheeks fluffing slightly as she looked back towards the screen. "Seems alot more fun to play with someone anyways. Your the first person I've met besides this strange lady with rainbow hair that actually likes this kind of music." Then, quickly adjusting the conversation back towards the game. "S'your turn ta pick a song, Demyx."

Imitating the other, Demyx lifted a paw to run his own fingers through his hair. Of course, yeah, he actually -had- hair though. Messy, spikey, two toned hair. Mere seconds after 'fixing' it, the bangs flopped back down into their previous position in his face.

"Yeah...I can't think of anyone back home that likes my music either, but they all seem to ignore it anyway so I guess it doesn't matter."

Grin fixing on his maw, the young sitarist leaned forward and scrolled through the songs. Soon enough he came to a pretty fast paced song by the name of 'Candy'.

"Ready when you are..."

"I never listen to my music too loud... I really don't see how anyone could ignore music like this. Just the feeling of the beat makes me want to swish my hips and bounce around. This game... It's great!" She flashed him a bright smile, pale eyes reflecting the bright lights from the screen.

"Me? I was born ready." She grinned as she pressed her paw against the button to start the song, letting her tail flicker back and forth behind her. This? This would be the true test.

"I think it's the fact I have constant music....either listening to it or playing it. It's great music though, I guess they're just missing out on something."

Quickly sliding back into game mode, the winged one moved along with the beat. The song was challenging, sure, but that was exactly why Demyx loved it. At least this way he got a good workout.

Roxette was right. It was hard not to lose one's self to the bright lights and fast pace of the music.

Constant music? Other than the songs stuck in her head frequently and the lyrics she had resonating through her headphones she took breaks from time to time... But to have music always? Oh, that would be a dream come true.

She lost herself completely in the song with that thought in mind, unable to tell one step from the next save for the fac that she knew she pegged each one perfectly. Her heart was racing and laughter fell from her lips as the song progressed. Could there be any greater joy than loosing oneself in music like this?
