It's come to our attention that there are no written rules to the club. We've talked about a couple of them on various meetings but we feel that they need to be written down somewhere so that you guys can know for sure what they are.
1. No one is to leave the club room without a pass. The only acception to this rule is if you need to make a call in which case you should tell an officer or Sensei that you need to step out for a few minutes. (Our officers are: Elba, Linh, Ralph, Janne, Elizabeth, Leah, and Stephen.)
2. When there is someone making an announcement, please stay quiet and pay attention to the speaker.
3. No pass no play. If you are not passing a class (I.E. You have a grade below 70) you will be suspended from future meetings until you have proof that you are passing. For those who need some help, the club is willing to offer tutors for you. Come talk to me or Elba for more information.
4. Anyone who is not an officer, please refrain from yelling at your fellow club member to quiet down. It's Sensei's and our job to do so and we will if we find the voice level too high.
5. Remember to use commom courtesy. Don't call anyone any bad names or seriously insult them. Good natured joking around is fine but don't go overboard.
6. When in the club room please remember to talk with indoor voices and try not to make too much of a ruckus. We are still in school and we don't need to get Sensei in trouble with the A.P. and risking our club validity.
7. Don't use any bad language. Remember, everytime you use a bad word, you will need to pay 50 cents to the swear jar. If you continue to use foul language incessively, you will be given a warning of suspension.
We understand that you guys want to have fun but we need to have some ground rules to keep things organize. We need to show the school that our club can behave so they won't need to shut us down. Furthermore, we don't need to get Sensei in trouble for our sake so please follow the rules and things will go a lot smoother.
