Yes they are! It's like they say in Nintendo Power, a time mage can turn the tides for you in no time, he-he.
BTW, I know time mage isn't on there (poll) but that's cuz it's not considered as a color mage. You know? Try using one at the "Mage Tourney" without using Cid and let me know how it goes. mrgreen

I say Blue are the best cause they have a huge amount of spells to choose from as soon as you get them all

Yer right! The only problem I see with Blue mages is that if you are not careful, you can miss out on some monster abilities like "LV3 Def Less", "Dragon Force" & "Goblin Punch". This last one can still be learned if you have someone to battle with. As long as you choose the mission Newbie hunt, of course. I left more details somewhere else but I can't seem to remember where exactly... sweatdrop

This is why I change the main dude into a blue mage, do nothing while in a fight so he will not level up as a mage, and get a beastmaster to control the monsters

Cool! The good thing about FFTA is that you don't need to keep a character in the same job cuz, blue mages don't have very good stat gains. rolleyes I don't know about you but, the instrument that I found a bit tricky to get, was the fairy harp. 3nodding

This is why I had most of my Humes with thief skills, cause I think when you had to protect one of your turfs (early one) there was a mog how had one

Favourite mage? Red mages are useful (Doublecast ftw!) but I LOVE BLUE MAGES THE BEST. Because they are uber fun, you can boast once you learn every thing possible (curse you Goblin Punch), and they have the best hats in existence.

With the new game out, it is tied with Blue Mages and Green Mages.
Blues Have many different skills, while the Greens can cast buffs and am I the only person who think that the Green Mage might be apart of the Girl Scouts?

Hey Svenny, can you battle with anyone? Cuz if you can, you can still learn goblin punch by choosing "Newbie Hunt" at the trading pub. 3nodding
As soon as I get the sequel, I'll tell you my opinion about green mages dude. mrgreen

crying Greens lose their greatness near end game cause the bosses can not be hit with their skills.
crying Blues are well, not as good as when they were in the Japan game
Reds double cast can not be used easily anymore
Whites (Highlight here) are now fighting against the Seeq class Ranger cause of the Ranger's Item Lore witch doubles the power of Items and uses Mirror Item to reverses the effect of items to either heal 400 HP or to make 400 points worth of damage.

Wow! Rangers sound pretty cool!
I see that some jobs have remained in the sequel but, their names have changed. I wonder what's up with that... neutral
