I have a story for everybody!!! my warnings are it may be offensive to some readers... and that's about it!
When I was a young little girl (probably around 9-10 ish) I was forced to go to a church because my neighbor went, and my mother felt she was doing a good thing sending me to a Baptist church when she's catholic...
Well, because I had never been exposed to religion I felt some of the things they were teaching to be a little odd, but I went anyways. A few weeks latter I went into the 'if god made the world then who made god' phase, did you know church goers don't like that?
So I asked my 'who made god' question and they responded with "the spirits" and then I asked who made the spirits and they pulled me from class and sent me home with a note for my mum. A note saying I was a problem child.. I laughed hysterically at religion for the longest time. I thought they were all the same and had fun making fun of them!
Then I was forced to go to a Mormon church..... Oh the dread... Unlike the other church they kept me there, determined to break me! My rudess did nothing, no matter how hard I tried!! It was a terrible thing. When I had enough I went the next Sunday with my friend. We wore all black and chanted 'I love you' in Japanese! It was my first time doing that, and it was bloody awesome!
After that experience I really thought all religions were a joke, until one day I stumbled across the spiritual section of the public library. Of course at the time I just picked up some random book and joked with my friends about pagan and all that fun stuff
Just for *I meant a bad word to go here* and giggles I checked out a couple of copies of some of the ones I had just randomly picked up. Started reading that night and went "hey, this is actually really interesting" and form that day on I have taken religion seriously. (sometimes... ^_^) And that is the story of how stumbled across this path.
and you know what, typing this has made me realize that I'm a total -bum- sometimes.. especially when Jehovah's witness try to stop me in the street...

Ok here's my story.
I believe I was always pagan and even did astral projection on long car rides when I was little, granted I didn't know what it was until I got into paganism. I was also pracitally oppessed with witches. I was one almost every halloween, that or a princess whee
First of all I was raised baptist, and by rasied I mean my mom sent us to a baptist church for sunday school. When I was little I loved going and even tried to read the Bible when I was about 9 but never really got past the first few pages. Around 11 I started thinking about things and relized I believed things the church said weren't true or didn't exist like reincarnation and ghosts. At about this time I also stoped going to church because we moved. I also started to enter a depressed state which lasted several years.
I was around 12 or 13 when I had a dream where I was floating above my town surrounded in an errie green light which I could throw out and call back to me, I could me it hurt someone or help someone. I believe this dream was my coming into my power. Ever since this dream I've been able to create and throw psi-balls or as I've always called them energy balls.
By this time I had heard of Wicca and wanted to look into it, however the few people I knew who were into said it's not just a trend and you need to be really serious about it or something like that. Basically when I asked about it they said they couldn't share it with me and that it wasn't for everybody.
So I sat on it for a couple years and really thought about it. I desided that I really did want to at least look into it and see what it was all about. So I was 15 when I opened and got my first Wiccan book. Everything seemed to make sense to me. Shortly after I started practicing I came out of my depressed state. If I had questioned it before which I didn't this proved to me that I was on the right path.
At one point my mother asked if I was a witch to which I said yes. She seemed fine with it but about a year later she asked again and when I still said yes she tried to tell me I wasn't. I guess she thought it was just a phase. When I was firm that I was a witch and it wasn't going to change she accepted it.
Most of my family know I'm pagan and accept it or at the very least don't make a big deal out of it. They know I have a different religion and respect my dission to worship differently than them. I also found out resently that on my father's side being a witch is hereditay and in our history.

Ayla Skye Ok here's my story. *snip* Aww, that's nice ^.^ I've noticed that I've done a bunch of "Pagan" stuff since way before I even knew there were other religions besides Christianity whee My boyfriend just bought a book call Wicca: A Year and a Day because he's all formal and by-the-books so he wants to have an official year and a day of training (the book is 366 daily exercises that I guess gradually teach you about Wicca), and he's on Day 8 and I was planning on doing the stuff with him, but I've already done all the exercises since I was a kid over and over (visualization meditation, breathing exercises, calming your mind, letting go of past negative feelings toward witchcraft, and stuff like that). Ish pretty spooky..
Hehe, I always wanted to be a witch for Halloween ^.^ Either a witch or a vampire (usually a vampire until I got tired of the teeth, then I took 'em out and said I was a witch xd ) and my mom was always like "Witches are scary and ugly! You can't look like that and be a witch! Lemme go get the green makeup and warty nose" and I was like "Nnoooo I wanna be a beautiful witch! Who says they can't be pretty?!" and she was like " stressed " (and like yeah and like ya know xd Sorry, being redundant lol)

I've also been able to visualize, meditate and calm my mind since I was a kid. It sometimes seems odd to me that people have trouble doing these things (psi-balls included) bacause I've done them for like forever and can do them with out thinking about it. And when people who do have trouble with it ask me how I do it I can't really explain it to them because I just do it. It's never been a matter of if I things this way I'll be able to do this, it's always just happened.
Like I can have a psi-ball in my hand instantly at any time or I can calm my mind with a single deep breath.
I'm don't mean to brag but I was wondering if anyone else was like this or if you had trouble with these things if there's somethings you can do without thinking.
