Honestly my mom raised me on 80's alternative which mixed with post-punk alot so I already liked Siouxsie, The Cure, Joy Division and that stuff, along with a healthy respect for Gary Numan and Depeche Mode and what not. Eventually I heard the term goth-rock being applied to post-punk and I got confused so I got a Bauhaus CD and loved it then I got into Alien Sex Fiend and The Sex Gang Children and what not.

I grew up listening to The Cure. One day I actually listened to the lyrics of the song "Lullaby", and I loved how creepy they were. So then I went looking for similar music and ran into gothic rock and then deathrock. I heard a few songs by Christian Death (with Rozz Williams) and loved them. smile
