Liliana giggled. "Would it stop time too? I suppose I could use a timeturner, to be in two places at once, but that's highly dangerous. I don't think I'm of sound enoug hmind to try it, truthfully. No matter how much I'd want to. Even if Trel hadn't said we're not to use one." Actually, Trelweny had ordered the GaiaCom witch Myranda that no one was permitted to ask for one -especially herself. Whenever one was mentioned the human woman would grow sad and slowly shake her head, saying how they really were not good ideas after all. The only exception was for the young wiards' studies of magic, but then that one was kept on Myranda until needed.
She sighed softly. No. A timeturner would not solve her dilema either. But there was no point fretting about that when she had a pleasant sight and beloved company to enjoy. Lily gave Edward a warm smile. "They'll be other sunrises, Edward. Maybe none quite like this, but there will be others."

The sun continued to rise, and it wouldn't be long before it was up fully. Blasted ball of hydrogen gas... couldn't it take longer? He raised his brows at her as she spoke of some magical timeturner. If it was dangerous then he surely wouldn't want her to use it. "If I could stop time.. I would" he said softly, if only to let this moment last forever.
Hearing her side, Edward turned to look at her. His gaze being met with a warm smile, of which he had to mirror back. They'll be other sunrises... "Yeah." His smile remained, but his heart felt like lead. What if this was the last sunrise he would enjoy with her, like this? He tried not think about it.

Her ears flicked and she smiled softly, not minding the idea of halting time at all. Put off the inevitable of making a decision and basking in this simple moment forever did not seem so bad. Would her thoughts stop too, Lily wondered. If not, that part of it would not be so enjoyable as she would miss family & friends & Endless. But that was too much thinking.
She nuzzled him softly, not making any vocal comment as she found a place on his shoulder to rest her head while watching the rest of the sunrise. Lily did not speak again until it was over, sighing sadly as she rolled into him to get her feet back underneath her. She shook out her wings then leaned her head to his to tenderly lick Edward's cheek. "I've got to go." Her voice little more than a murmur was touched with a happy sadness. "Homework."
Before she could be swayed Liliana had her ebony wand in paw. Clear green eyes gazed into Edward's golden pools. "Love you." Then she disapparated away.

For such a small kitsu, Edward was surprisingly sturdy for his size. Thus, he had no trouble in the least as she leaned against him. Perhaps it was the added weight of his automail, or simply his own will and determination not to crumple under her weight... that would be rather embarassing after all.
There was a peaceful silence as the both of them watched the sun rise, signaling the beginning of a new day. It wasn't until Lilianna spoke that he actually moved. He looked to her, wanting to tell her not to go. That he needed her to stay with him. But no... he would be strong, and he knew it wasn't fair to ask her to stay. So instead, "Study hard" he said with smile with just a hint of sadness. The lick to his cheek was returned to hers.
Sitting back, he watched... hearing her parting words. Before he could give his reply, she was gone. "Love you too..." he murmured, ears pressed back against his head as a paw reached out for the space she's just recently occupied. A sigh and he lowered his paw, looking off to the horizon again. Why was it that he felt such an incredible sense of loss just then?
