It was easy to slip into accepting the gentle chivalry Endless conveyed. She padded softly behind him, contemplating Naneth's reassuring smile and wondering if she should tell her that she did not mind if Endless new... so long as he was not hurt by it. But then, Lily had spent more time with him than his mother so she would best know what would hurt him. Or she should. Lately all she could note was that her sheltered existence gave her no aid in her present circumstance and it pained her greatly.
If only it were easy.
Any words she might have been trying to say left her s she got a glimpse of Endless' room -and specifically the miniature of herself. It... gave her much to think about. There was a thoughtful look in her green eyes as she silently & gracefully dipped her head in thanks for the tea. She barely thought about it, letting her tea seep with a spoon magically stirring the changing liquid as she half watched it, half Endless and his mom. But the thoughtful look was still there. Endless spoke and she smiled with the barest hint of laughter. "There's nothing saying you have to, Endless..."

He looked back at the pair of them as Naneth laughed at Lily's comment and then covered her maw with a paw, that peculiarly adorable one ear up and one ear down expression on his face. "I don't... suppose I do. I just... want to. Nothing's staying put, though."
He dropped his teabags in his bowl and watched the water slowly change color. "Oh... have you talked to Atae since... the other day? She's back on her feet... and apparently she borrowed an alchemy book from Ed." He supplied the information in case Lily hadn't heard... and then turned to Naneth. "Ah... Atae's sorta... my adopted daughter. I did most of her raising, anyway... at least until she got older." And stopped talking to me as much. He hoped his real kids never did that to him... and caught himself looking at Lily and wondering if they'd ever have kits and turned his eyes back down to his tea.

Liliana glanced up at the covered laughter, ears quirked in a questioning manner. But anything she might have asked was superseded by a flutter in her chest at how Endless was looking at them. She dropped her gaze to her tea, just watching the spoon stir for a while.
Her green eyes did not lift until he addressed her, and there was worried guilt within them. "No... I haven't. I meant to... I've just been busy. I'm glad she's healing well, Hemi will want to know. Edward didn't tell me about her taking up alchemy. I don't try it myself, but I've read up on it.
She caught his eyes when he looked at her, feeling a blush warm her cheeks from whatever it was she could not name in his eyes. It made her feel warm and tingly and...
Removing her tea bag she lapped lightly at her tea, hardly tasting it. Why could this not be easy?

Naneth sighed mentally as both of the younger kitsu devoutely began drinking their tea in an effort not to be akward. Instead of focusing on something she wasn't really able to help at the moment she examined Endless' room. Not entirely tidy, but most everything was where it seemed to go. A couple of books on the floor near a cushion under the window, a comfy reading spot. A few mediocre drawings were on the floor near it. Apparnetly Endless was better at 3d artwork. The only really messy thing was his bed... restless sleeper. Got that from his grandmother.
"Who all lives here, by the way? Lily mentioned you have a lot of room mates... which I believe with the size of this house." She smiled at him when Endless looked up at her, blinking and trying to disengage from his thoughts long enough to list the residents. Naneth's eyes were slightly wide by the time he was done. "Ah... I'm glad she thought to have you come out just in case..." That was a lot of people, especially when she hadn't been around many since she finally recovered and started trying to track down... anyone of her family. "Wait... Iris? ...Your cousin Iris?" She gaped when he nodded.
This place was full of surprises!

Liliana listened, nodding her head the slightest fraction. Funny how she knew one way or another many of those in Endless' home. Of course if Naneth thought that was a lot Lily knew she should certainly hold off ever inviting Endless' mom to her home. Daddy would like her... She blushed, her nodding head stilling.
Perplexed, Liliana glanced at the older female. She had mentioned Iris... hadn't she? When remembering Endless' kit-name, wasn't it? Of course that had been very chaotic, Lily knew. Shrugging her crimson shoulders she smiled a little letting her gaze go to other things in Endless' room. A slight frown crinkled her brow seeing the state of his bedding, worried.
"Don't you sleep well, Endless?" Concern colored her soft whisper, one laced with confusion. He never moved so much when she slept beside him. She would have noticed.
Of course, Lily herself had not been sleeping well these last few weeks Even when surrounded by Hemi and her father. Only beside Edward the other day. Would it be the same if she slept beside Endless? Her gaze shifted to him then quickly fell away as heat filled her body.

Endless turned his glowing eyes back to Lily, ears warming at the way she averted her eyes and wondering if she was thinking about... kits. Yes. >>;
After mentally kicking himself for following that line of thought he glanced over at his bed. "Uh... sometimes?" He half frowned and... well, it wasn't quite a half-pout. "I get insomnia when I'm stressed or when I just... have things I need to think about. ...Or when I'm too bored to sleep. If that makes any sense..." He grinned sheepishly. "Don't worry about it, Lily... I still sleep more now than... I used to."

"Me too, I guess. Just... never had so much to think about..." Her father's question reared again, as did her answer. Even her body was not helping her with this! Why could she not seem to simply love or even want one more than the other? A soft whimper shook her small body.
Still she managed to look up and smile shakily. It was not forced, for she did love him and seeing his sheepish grin it was hard not to smile. "I can't but help it, Endless."

Endless smiled back at her with all the love and reassurance he had to give. "Well... I guess I'll let you get away with it this time." He stuck his tongue out playfully and then looked down at his nearly empty tea bowl, expression turning forlorn. She was going to go soon... wasn't she?

Crinkling her nose back equally 'playfully' Liliana returned to her bowl and lapped the last of her tea from the bottom. She did feel better for it. Even if she could not recall the taste. Standing she stretched carefully, letting her wings pull back behind her like the feathered ends of an arrow. "I'd better go."
In proper Lily fashion she lightly nuzzled Naneth. "I'm glad we met, Naneth. Thank you." Then she reached over to nuzzle Endless, momentarily letting her muzzle sink into his purple ruff. "Thanks for the tea. Have fun rediscovering your mother, Endless. I'll see you tomorrow."
Quickly she licked the underside of his chin & drew back, ebony wand somehow already at paw. "Bye." Then she disapparated with a soft pop.
