An ear flicked at Terasu's responce, but she said nothing to it. Charity has never considered herself very... comforting. Her nature was a rather brash one... not exactly soft and delicate. Atleast not to the untrained eye.
She continued to say nothing until he asked if she was tired. The femme blinked, as if coming out of a trance and glancing at him sidelong. "Perhaps" was her curt reply, tails tapping against the ground. A thoughtful frown on her maw.

Her silence put him on edge, and he stood from the lake, not bothering to dry his paws. He moved forward till he was within arms length of Charity. "What's wrong?" A side glance to her tails, moving as if in agitation. Had he said something wrong? He sweatdropped at the thought.

She glanced at him again, "What makes you think anything's wrong?" she asked. "I'm just tired, like you said." She gave a yawn as if in emphasis, and settled herself down on her stomach. If there was anything wrong, she was too proud to admit it. Or perhaps there wasn't, she could just be thinking about something... or who knows. Charity wasn't exactly the most easy to read Kitsusagi in the world.

So she was just tired? Why not just say so? Terasu huffed in a careless manner. "You can be so confusing at times." Make that all the time. At least Terasu was willing to try. A small tongue stuck out childishly to the girl, before flitting out of sight. Tails curled back and forth, before Terasu sat on his haunches. His ears were perked and back straight, much like the posture of an alert dog. Face was placid as his eyes trained at the many trees.

"That's my specialty" she replied with a bit of a grin, amusement shining in her eyes once more. Charity then tilted her head back as he stuck his tongue out at her. Smirking, she stuck her tongue out right back... but it was a long... serpentine forked tongue that flicked and waggled in the air before disappearing. Beat -that-!
She watched as he sat rigid and looked out towards the woods. Looking as if he was on guard or something. Brows lifted, but a smile tugged at the corner of her lips. Was he trying to look out for her? How very... sweet. She then lowered her chin onto her forepaws.

"Obviously." His face fell in a comical display of utter shock at the strange tongue that stuck back at him. "Would you put that away! Creepy..." He brushed the shutter off his shoulders, glad when it dissappeared. Nothing could beat that, surely. x__x
Feathered tails settled on either side of him, the last tail left resting behind him. "Get your rest already." It had been a long day, and his own time awake was shortening.

Har.. his face was priceless. She would have to use that trick again later, indeed. If only to see that expression again. His near demand for her to fall asleep, was given a smirk in reply. However, she seemed oblidged to obey.. this time... and was soon to dose off. When she slept, it was usually near her family members, but well... she felt safe with Terasu there.

The male waited till Charity found slumber. Turning eyes back up, he watched the now black sky, surprised how much time had passed. He remained standing for as long as he could, before the weight of his tired body was too bothersome. Quietly, he shuffled to his belly. His head bobbed, as he allowed his eyes rest in intervals through the long night.
