"I beg to differ, dear Songstress." He smiled up at her. "You are too precious; rarer than the rarest stone. Why, a diamond pales in comparison to your utmost beauty." Looking over at Dancer, he smiled a little and nodded. "Thank you. Happy Hunting." Waving his tail at her, he then looked back over to the family. "So, I suppose one of these days I shall bring my mother and father to meet you?" Halo inquired.

Her expression of amused irritation slid, no matter how she tried to keep it, into one of deep love. His flattering speach was true... Or at least, completely true to him... More than pretty words.. So much more... She smiled softly at him, sighing softly, eyes lighting with love.
"You are my Love and Lord, and without you, I am nothing.." She said softly, nuzzling him.
"That would be most wonderful." The King agreed softly, trying not to interrupt the lover's exchange.
Ballad curled toward his mate, smiling as she groomed the wriggling Tala... He knew what it was like to love someone... 'You are the rarest and sweetest of dreams... Capabale of banishing the wickedest of my nightmares with one sweet sigh, one bat of your lashes, one smile... You own my soul and everything I am... You are my only love, my every dream, my reason to live...'
Whistle gave the faintest of twitches, pausing in her ministration of the kit to meet her mate's kind silver gaze. The words he whispered so softly on their mind-link danced through her heart, weighting in her chest. It made it almost hard to breath, the warmth and weight of his love. She gave one of her brilliant smiles, tears falling down her cheeks.
'And I love you, My Mate and King.. You are the Song I sang when I came into life, when I went through death, and when I returned once more. You are the very melody of my existance, the mind I found safety in... The reason I live and fight and hunt... The sire to my cubs... The only one I will ever love as I do...'

Tala was indeed wiggling. Baths were not his favorite thing in the world. When Whistle stopped, he looked up, and saw her tears. Her smile. He wanted to meet someone who would love him like that. He purred at his queen, and sat still. Maybe he'd tolerate this bath...

Whistle soon returned to grooming the young male, purring softly as the King returned to his conversation. Her tears quickly dried, worked away by the gentle care she was giving her 'adopted' son...
"There you are." She said softly, releasing him. "Much cleaner than you were earlier.."
She winked at him. "No mud-splashing for at least ten minutes..."

Tala purred and rubbed against Whistles leg, before sitting at her feet, and watching the winged male. He was like...in love man. Drooling and everything. Now, he wanted to bve in love, but that...was wacky. It was...romatic...in a way...but he still thought it was weird...

Whistle watched Ballad and Halo talk, glancing at her daughter now and again. Songstress glowed with her love, her markings all the brighter, her pyreflies dancing about her happily. As the Queen watched, a single pyrefly danced over to Halo and wound around his paws, then up over his back. If they weren't in love, she'd walk through death again.
Ballad glanced at his mate as Tala recovered from his bath and the pyrefly danced around Halo, smiling slightly when their gazes met. He could tell the purity of his daughter's new-found love was seducing his mate all over again.. She was already in love with Halo, he was their newest son...
A replacement for the shadow on their family.. A new joy...
"Welcome to our family..." Ballad said softly, smiling. "I hope you both will visit the prides often.

Halo beamed with pride. The pyrefly now around his form must have been a sure sign of acceptance. He stared over at Whistle and Ballad, a large grin over his face. "I'll be sure to visit. Next time, I will bring my parents...." He trailed off, the grin suddenly fading. "If...they can make it." His ears twitched in thought slightly, eyes distant.
He cleared his throat, getting his mind back. "I don't mean to be disrespectful, but my parents have a small pride with a small territory. If both of my parents journey, there will be no one to watch the lands, and I doubt my father and mother would risk that...'tis the first place they found love...with each other. It's their little shrine of firsts..."

Ballad nodded.. He was all to understanding of such a situation.. However... "If it would suit them, we could journey to their Pride for a Brief time... To form an alliance... Kelakohr, Casalure and the rest of the children would keep the Pride in order for as long as Whistle and I were away..."
Whistle nodded in agreement... "Two strong Sons and three sensible daughters aught to keep things in control... And we would dearly love to meet your parents, Halo..."

"Still, it's just...wrong to me. But your understanding and offer is greatly appreciated; I thank you with all my heart." He gave another deep bow of respects before lifting his head. "I suppose I should be getting back home now..." He looked over to Songstress with a small smile. "It's late and my parents do worry..." He looked up at his new in-laws. "It was so good to meet you two. I do hope that I can make you proud, King Ballad and Queen Whistle." He bowed to each of them before looking into Songstress's eyes. "My love...I hope I can make you happy..."
