this is something i'm working on it's not really that great but i hope you like it...comments please! its written like a blog so some of the things my seem like its real [or the whole spamming my inbox thats just the story] please read

July 15, 2007

I’m not sure why I’m up. Maybe it’s because I can’t stop updating my page. I just can’t help it. My life has no excitement. Nothing, in fact the most exciting thing is that I’m learning some TAB’s on the bass. Nothing special, just stuff that I wrote. I just write what I feel. I put my feelings in to music and lyrics. Sometime music is the only way to express my feelings is to write music. Still I’m not how I’m every going to get out of this small town and out to Chicago. I know it seems stupid but I need to get there. That’s the only place I can go with my music and become some what famous.
I’m not sure how I’m going to get there or how I’m going to become famous. I just have to. Its not that I’m doing bad in school, no I’m doing well. I just can’t see myself doing anything other than music as a job. I’m going to get off now. I have to go and write more maybe one really good demo will get a producer to look at it and then well no it’s bad to think like that, and then have the dream crushed.

I’ve found a place to record the demo. It’s about ten minutes away from hell [home or Lincoln as everyone else calls it]. But I can only get it for two hours at a time. I think I’m going to put Scream for your freedom, Cross my heart and hope to die tonight [that’s right I’m breaking my promise], If the world was perfect then there’d be no love, and finally See the cars go by? Go jump in front of one. Hopefully it will be enough to get some attention. But still I’m going to balance school, recording, and sending out the tape. I’ve started to put together a press package that I’ll send out to the producers a long with the tape. The exit examine is coming up. I hate California you have to pass a test to get out. I’ve already passed it but I have to take a shorter one [because I passed the examine two years ago] to show I haven’t forgotten anything.
The package should be all together by the time that I’m finished recording. Well that’s when it has to be finished by. So if I put the entire package together other than the tape I’ll most likely be finished by tomorrow. Plus if I can study twenty minutes every night than that way I can task everything. And make everything work. See I can plan wisely! Well I have to go I have the studio for midnight until two in the morning.

The music I make is not what it playing on the radio. Get over it. I know what I post isn’t the best, but still I make it. This is the music I want to come back the good stuff. The music the influenced my influences; the cure, the smiths. Stuff like that; I want the theatrics of a David Bowie concert. The iconic look of Robert Smith. The haunting voice of Morrissey. Why is this so hard to grasp? I don’t want to be the papered kind of person that gets there songs written for them. I want to go though six different versions of a song before I get it just right. And I don’t want to be thrust in to the lime light, I want to struggle.
I know this is unusual but the lime light kills the feeling of happiness. I sit reading Everybody Hurts: An Essential guide to Emo Culture. The section on movies is the best. It out lines movies that I love. The newest issue of Alternative Press is next to my mouse. Haley Williams stares up at me. I got a song recorded last night. It is a song, fast, heartfelt song. I’m hoping to make this my single. The sound of a Nobody goes home song pulses though the speakers. I’m not sure why I love them. But I do; I love to listen to unknown Indy bands and watch them grow to be more popular. Permanent ME is one of these bands. Unknown to sort of known [hey there now a Blender a proved band] but they’ll make it. It can’t wait for Nobody Goes Home to make it big. They were under aolmusic’s ‘Worst band photos’ but it was a really good photo. And plus it got them press!
Must go now thinking of recording Scream for your Freedom tonight. I’m in just that kind of mood. Go and check out Nobody goes home, talk to you all later.
~Roocarpal [ps who ever is spamming my inbox will be blocked, I don’t care if it’s ‘the funniest video ever’ I love youtube I’ve already seen it.]

Ok hun, You need to read over things before posting them. You have some missing and mixed up words. You didn't really ask for a critique, so let me know if you want me to go through and point them out to you.

Well, it could use some more editing, but I like the idea of writing through a blog...I've never thought of that. You need to be careful of your writing being disconnected. I know that some of it is because it is written from someone's point of view, but you still need some flow to keep your reader's attention. A good idea, but could use some fine-tuning!!

I like the idea, but it really sounds like:
"I did this. Then I did that."
So, just try to make it flow better.

Which is kind of interesting once you think about it.

I mean, obviously I don't know much about this sort of thing, but it seems to me that the purpose of a blog is basically to tell people what's going on--like you did in this, totally random snippets, not very well edited... I'm questioning how well it works to make a story or tell a message, though. Although it was interesting, it didn't seem to have an easily identifiable point.
