This sticky is meant for those who are relatively new to Gaia and to the community of friends located in Rat's Thread. All current and former members of Rat's Thread can disregard this, since you all should know the rules by now.
Oh, rules? What rules?
First of all, this guild was created by Rat to provide his friends and members of his Chatterbox thread (which is known simply as "Rat's Thread") a place to chat with others without being interrupted by "n00bs" endlessly bumping, scrolling, or stretching the page while most others are trying to have meaningful conversations. We welcome all who wish to join us, but we will not tolerate anyone who consistently acts like a n00b.
A n00b is not always a newbie..There are those newbies who do happen to be intelligent and will initiate conversations, and there those who have been here a few months who act like a total n00b..
Remember: A n00b is someone who.. 1. Repeatedly posts bump after bump, either one or hundreds at a time. 2. Stretches the forum page vertically (scrolling) or horizontally (stretching) 3. Whines about lack of events. We simply abhor this behavior. They are meant to be a surprise bonus to the game of Gaia, not a requirement to enjoy Gaia. Rather, you should enjoy the company of your friends, old and new. At least, it'll keep your mind off the events so that when they do appear, it'll be more of a surprise that was originally intended. 4. Begs for item and/or gold donations. We do donate gold to others, but not to just whoever begs for it. If you do beg, you most likely will not get any donations at all. 5. Persists in using little or no grammar or correct spelling. Yes, we do get a bit annoyed when someone constantly types single letters like "u" and "r" to replace the proper words "you" and "are", respectively, and even a period can help us understand what you're trying to say. 6. Asks questions about Gaia and/or basic features which the answers can be easily found if one merely looks for them...Or just a really stupid question. "What are the events?" "What's in a trunk or pink box?" "Where is 'such-and-so'?" Most of these questions are answered in numerous FAQs that can be found on the homepage. Now if you're totally new, like within a few days with a low number of posts, we do give some leeway, but if you've been here for a couple months with a relatively high number of posts, then you should be well-versed enough in Gaia to look up the answers for yourself. However, if it's a question about something that an answer isn't already provided for, then ask it, and we'll answer it if anyone of us can.
If I catch you violating the first 3 rules listed above (since those are what we absolutely loathe), I will warn you twice to stop. If you don't stop the behavior after the second warning, I will ban you from the guild.
We do strongly suggest that you start conversations and get to know those here if you wish to become part of the "Rat's family", so to speak. And if you avoid those 6 behaviors, we'll all be much happier.

Looks pretty good. Good job PsychoZombie. He pretty much summed it up. I created this place to chat and have fun. Not necessarily a sophisticated place to chat, but just a place to hang out. Don't let his post intimidate you, as long as you're not disrespectful, or being a nuissance for that matter, you are welcome to chat here.
