She's cute, albeit with horrible teeth. mad d And while 99.9999996% of people I know absolutely CAN NOT STAND her voice (it's VERY grating, to say the least)... I am wondering if there are any people here that actually find themselves liking her music. I find I have to be in a very fruity and odd mood to like her music... thing is, sometimes I really AM in a very fruity and odd mood. Figure that.
The only songs I've heard off her newest album are "Lapin" and "Chocolat." I, however, still prefer the first song I ever heard of hers, "Hebi Ichigo."

Brenli I, however, still prefer the first song I ever heard of hers, "Hebi Ichigo." Hah. I feel the same way. It got painfully stuck in my head one day back in high school, and I've liked it ever since.

I sort of have a love-hate relationship to her music
there are songs of hers i like alot, namely the singles, but some album-only songs too
however, then there are songs that make me want to bang my head against my desk because of her awful voice
i cant really figure out where i stand when it comes to her
i hated her newest album. it was horrible and a total waste of my money ._.

@ Kaidan: mad d It's like a screechy infection in the ears, I know. ... So why can't I just say no? O.o
@ Abusive Mana: I have heard mixed reviews about her newest album. I thought the song "Chocolat" as okay, and the only other song I've heard from her newest album is "Lapin."
I suppose what really confuses me the most is... I acknowledge that her voice isn't good. It's screechy, and sometimes so childish. (She even talks like that... in an interview I have watched, anyway sweatdrop ) But... I get these moods... and I just NEED to listen to a couple Kana songs to get over it. It's like being in heat, but without the sex. So is there some sort of secret spell hidden in her music...? Am I to believe she's trying to take over the world one grating song at a time? Should I be scared that it's working on me? mad d

Everyone's got their bad habits. lol I can stand her music for the most part, but I HATE her interview speaking voice. I hate all forms of baby talk, and hers is just insipid...*dies*

Agreed. I suppose it sounds cute, but people don't TALK that way, anymore, unless they're 5 years old or doing a voice over for a cartoon. I could accept the childishness in her singing voice but while she's talking? ~Shudders~ I suppose she has an image she really wants to maintain. I wouldn't mind hearing how she actually sounds, sans squeaky, though. crying

Brenli Agreed. I suppose it sounds cute, but people don't TALK that way, anymore, unless they're 5 years old or doing a voice over for a cartoon. Actually, it's kinda scary, quite a few girls in Japan do talk like that to be "cute". Kana isn't even the worst I've seen lol. gonk gonk gonk I hate it so much.

I've just started litsening to her but I really like her style!
And haha!
I told a friend of mine that I've started litsening to her and he went: "WTF?! How can you litsen to her? Her voice is just... gah!"
The funny thing is that I actually like her voice... xP

I actually saw her live when she was still under the name "Kana"
she changed it though because she's really big in france and there's already a french musician in called "Kana"
I actually love all her music >/////>
a lot of people don't like her though and claim that she is not visual kei....I like to think of her as...."experimental/punk"

Man...I listened to her a long while back. So, I decided to listen to Hebi Ichigo. Definitely not what I remember. I just found it kinda funny she looks like "cute" but her singing voice is just...raw...I'm not sure yet if I think that's a good or bad thing for her, heh.
And then I listened to her interview. JESUS. Her speaking voice makes me want to slam my head against the wall. I HATE it when girls talk like that. HATE IT D: <.
