Jabir Shaheen Adira Wandering from the watering hole a large mare ambled around, the heat was certainly getting to her. With every step she took her pale white tail shifted, swatting away whatever heat it could as well as the carefully flying flies. Pawing the sandy earth with her front hoof Adira managed to find a cooler ground, it wouldn't last long but it was better than nothing. She hadn't seen the bulk of her foals, especially the fillys for quite some time, but two of her colts, Jabir and Shaheen were following close behind her. Her golden brown eyes looked to her side where a small clone of his father trotted along around her. She smiled and nudged the colt, sending him tilting for a moment before he got his footing again.
Shaheen, a albino colt bobbled his head for a moment before laying under what lone shade was left from a nearby shrub. He was the smallest of the foals born to his mother, and the most different. All of his sisters and brothers looked so much like their parents, but he, he was exceptionally different. Snuffing out the unpleasent thoughts the colt watched what his mother was doing, then watched his brother amble around her.

Abhay Reyla
A shadowy stallion paced the edge of the watering hole, nibbling at the tips of a few blades of grass while avoiding those who sought shade and water. His long tail shifted in a wide arch as the flies, nasty little buggers, desired to cause the father a great deal of annoyance. Raising his head, he heaved a sigh of unhappiness; his mate and their eldest twin had been taken somewhere unknown by the humans and would not be back for several sunsets. However...his pride and joy had stayed behind with him. Turning, he glanced around with alert eyes for his daughter; several dust clouds, along with the annoyed whickers of the others, pointed to the culprit. Abhay chuckled at Reylas' antics....the child would do anything for attention.
Reyla rolled around in the cooler sands under the palm trees, throwing up the clouds her father had seen across the pond. She squeaked as the grains brushed against her fur, cooling the heated skin and soothing her burning legs. Whickering happily, despite the grumbles and groans of the adults standing nearby, she flipped over and stumbled to her feet before shaking away the sands that covered her body.

Hearing noises from the watering hole behind her Adira turned, watching as a filly was fooling around in the hot sands. She shook her head, wondering just how the foals could be so excited and bouncy in such a heat as today. She was happy, for once, that Shaheen and Jabir, the two that were with her that day, were calm and enjoyed relaxing like herself. Jabir was his father's clone, and had almost an identical personality, which made for him to be mellow and caring, a perfect son she couldn't have found better.
"Shaheen, Jabir, how are you two doing in this weather?"
"Fine mother,"
From the corner shade of one of the trees the albino colt pulled back his nose just a bit, out of the heat. Curling in just a little he watched what he could of the watering hole's action, wondering what that filly was doing but listening to his mother just the same.
"Just a little water would be good..."
Jabir whined, the two colts looked at eachother and looked back up at their mother. He flicked his tail, this one bug had been landing on him all day, it was such a pest. None the less he looked as his mother spoke.
"Well, I can't bring it to you. Lets go, Shaheen, c'mon up and anty."
The mare waited as both the colts walked carefully to her sides and followed as she moved towards the watering hole. There were a few mares and a little less stallions, but nothing that stood out except for that filly. She was very active, it was amusing.

Noticing that almost everyone was staring at her, Reyla flicked her tiny stub of a tail before cantering off elsewhere. Unfortunately, the sand was sticking to her and...it was starting to itch. Whimpering, she tried to reach her backside to bite at the itches.
"Reyla, if you don't be careful, you will give yourself whiplash."
Glancing upwards, she came eye-to-eye with her father. Tossing her head, she bounced around her father before rubbing up against him; not only did he provide a relief from the itching, he was big enough to block out the sun too.
Abhay chuckled at his energetic daughter; lowering his head, he gently prodded her in the direction of the shallows.
"Daddy!" Reyla stumbled at the prod, regaining her balance, she cast a mock glare at her father.
"Reyla....."
"Okay...fine!" She gave a filly-sized huff before scampering over to the shallows, her father following behind.

The mare noticed as the filly cantered away and was met by a stallion, her father, she guessed. None the less her eyes lowered to take a drink of the water and yet kept a firm look about at her two foals. They were both drinking, Jabir was careful as to not go any further in, and Shaheen was watching his brother slightly confused as to why he was so frightened.
"Mother, can we go now? The sun's hot."
"I'm good, can we go back?"
The two colts certainly didn't take long drinks, eventually they would learn why she did. After all, the heat made her loose the water quickly, so replenishing as much as possible when given the chance was their best bet.
"Fine Fine..."
Adira lifted her head and nudged the lagging Jabir up ahead a bit as the family trotted along, back to the shade. As they came above the sandy hill she noticed that the odd filly and her father were a short distance away at another shady area. Her boys hadn't noticed as they got under the remaining shade, huddled to keep themselves in as much of it as possible. Today just seemed boring, there wasn't much one could do in the heat without possibly overheating.
