♪♫♪Well, I just got back from a 10 day trip to Japan, and let me tell you, it was AWESOME!
So, considering anime conventions are seeped with Japanese culture, I was just wondering if anyone else in this here guild has been to Japan.
If so, how was your trip? What did you do? Etc., etc.
Manga is sooooo much cheaper (and nicer looking) there. But cd's are expensive! sweatdrop

The closest I've come to going to Japan was Japantown in San Francisco. xD
I'm planning on going my senior year, though, over spring break.
If I get into IB Japanese, anyway...the only way to go is to be in a Japanese class.
Anyway, that's enough of my explaining. xB

My trip to Japan...
God, that was eventful. I spent six weeks there over the course of a summer, and met many interesting people and got exposed to foods that most of my friends would pretend to spew at to hear about it. I also was eerily popular with the girls there, but I kept getting nervous about whether they were legal or not, so I rarely pursued any of them.
I did find fellow Dragon Ball Z fans there, despite the age of the show, so all was good. Also many firearm aficionados there. It was quite fun.

I have been there on an exchange trip. Only 10 days and very controlled tho but it was soo fun! I got to try on a real kimono and plant rice and go to the world expo and see Hiroshima (i cried). It was amazing!

I went with my Dad for my birthday. We basically went sight-seeing around Tokyo and...well, yeah. It would've been nice to have some friends there too...
Unfortunately, I'm not brave when it comes to food XD;;
I did, however, go to an anime convention in Japan. It was totally different than here. Of course, I can only speak a couple words in Japanese so it wasn't too fun, persay. They had a bunch of booths, you could only buy things at certain booths, and the rest were basically advertising different anime. I saw a couple I recognized but most probably aren't out in the US at the moment. Seriously, it was an adventure XD!

I went for a semester as part of an exchange program. Met some very fun people and got to make an idiot of myself attempting to speak Japanese. Lots of fun and lots of wondering around lost looking for places that sold anime stuff and used comic books smile

...Which means during school, I go through a lot of gum.
(Metabolism makes me feel full for about 2 hours, then get really hungry again.)
