Ever had an idea in mind for just a scene and it's really good but you don't know where to fit it in any of your stories or if you should start another one for it? I've started keeping a notebook for just that. I get an idea for a scene or two (usually at work) so I have to write it down before it goes away because I really like it and then I'll go back to it. I sometimes use the same characters just to keep some sort of consistency going but other times I have to use new characters to fit the situation. Does anyone else do this or am I the only crazy one?

All the time! I always have a pen on me, and most of the time I carry a small notebook with me so I have something to write on. But if I don't, I write on my skin! And I also have about eight A4 sized notebooks that I write in at school... So no, you're not the only crazy one!

Yup! Mine has maps, badly drawn weaponry, random notes, and even a song for the violin... and I don't even play the violin...

My notebook's too big to carry in my apron at work sad but I have a big purse so I can still carry it everywhere I go. I wrote my first "scribble" in the book last night/this morning. I'll post it in the share section later.

Sweet! ^_^
I'd post some entries from mine, but... I'd have to decipher my own hand writing first... -_-;;;;

Yeah. that does tend to become an issue for me, too. And I know I won't post everything I write because some of the scenes I've come up with are more than the allowed PG-13. (It's called I've read too many romance novels)

I have the same problem... sort of.
I'm writing a musical with a bunch of country songs. There's one song that I want to use, but it doesn't fit in with the rest of the story! I'm gonna have to write an whole new musical for that song!

I have one too and well I had to for English because we get a prompt at the beginning of each class and well I keep it all in the same notebook. Normally a compostion one. For some reason, I just like them more.

i like the composition ones better, too. they look nicer and you cant tear the pages out to use for other things like random notes or something.

Er, no. I tend to store idears in my head for days, weeks, months, and sometimes even years. I do, however, LOVE to read other writer's notebooks[especially when they're out of their minds]. Although...I /have/ started jotting stuff down after starting high school this year, because equations, formulas, vocabulary, speeches, friends, and relationships[or total lack thereof]are taking over my precious imagination.

Torokukat Yup! Mine has maps, badly drawn weaponry, random notes, and even a song for the violin... and I don't even play the violin... lol, me too. I can' t draw very well. My friends are the artists, I just write. and yeah, I think of songs all the time that would go well with my scenes. I always carry a pen and paper with me so taht I nver get a burst of inspritration and don't have anywhere to write on. My poor arms would be so full of ink. 4laugh
