There's hundreds of anime-related videogames out there, of which only a small part ever makes it to this side of the world.
Being the pirate game collector I am, I've seen a few rarities.
Here's a list of the anime games I've seen (most for old-skool consoles.)
- Slayers RPG - SNES - Awesome. All in Japanese, but it's all played through menues, so it's easy to figure things out. - Ranma 1/2 Fighting - SNES - Awesome. There's at least three of those for SNES, all fun to play. - Ranma 1/2 RPG - SNES - Weird RPG, still quite easy to play (and character interaction changes depending on what form your character has...) - Sailor Moon: Another Story - SNES - A fairly unknown game, yet up to the challenge level and plot dept of old school RPGs (it even uses a modified FF6 engine for battles.) - Captain Tsubasa - NES, SNES, Sega, PSX - Captain Tsubasa is the least known of the big name sport animes from Japan, yet (IMO) the best. The games have all the insane shots and insanely difficult teams the show has, and... It's the only RPG/soccer hybrid to date. - Yuu Yuu Hakusho - NES - There were two, both based in quite epic parts of the show... The second's the best, taking place during the last arc of the show, that netherworld Dragon Ball Z's tournament ripoff tournament... Final boss would make Omega Rugal, Cyber Akuuma and Evil Ryu run for their mommies. - Digimon - PSX - There's three Digimon RPGs, a card game and a fighting game. The RPGs are, not counting the second, quite boring and linear (and that's coming from a Digimon fan) while the card game is fun to beat once or twice (or once with each Digimon,) while the fighting game was... Forgettable. Not as forgettable as it's GBA version (or Digimon Kart) but still quite un-fun. - Dragon Ball - NES - There was a platform/RPG/WTF? hybrid for that old console, where you played Goku through all the challenges seen in the show (Ya know, Red Ribbon, Tao Pai Pai, Picoro, Picoro Jr...) The game was quite long for a NES game, and some of the stages required a lot of training to get through. - Dragon Ball Z - NES - There were two fighting games (kinda bad) and four RPGs for that old console. My opinion? The GBA Dragon Ball Z RPGs are snorefest compared to those old games. No game where you can beat the crap outta Cell or Buu with Tenshinhan or Chaoz is boring. (That, or doing a few hard resets on the game to get weird stuff like SSJ Gohan during the Freezer arc...) - Samurai Pizza Cats - NES - There was a platformer for that old, fun show. Up to Rockman 3's level of challenge in some parts, though the bosses were a bit on the easy side.
Oh, and there was one G-Force platformer for NES too, but it smelled like a blatant ripoff of Batman (never played NES's Batman? eek Your loss, I guess. XD )
Oh, and if we get into extreme old school....
- Transformers - ZX-Spectrum - A platform game that was meant to be unbeatable. Decepticons everywhere, you had a team of five Autobots with one life each and limited energy, and had to complete the game (reactivating big bad Optimus) before the timer run out. "Autobots, transform and get beaten." rofl
Then again, I bet someone's gonna ask what a ZX-Spectrum was. ninja

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZX_SpectrumAhem... Wiki... Ahem... >.> <.< That was my third computer ever. Back when you only needed 8 colors and two sound channels (and 48 KB of RAM) to make awesome games. And Ryusaki... KH is a game, not a game spawned off an anime. Do not pass go, do not collect $ 200. lol

Your forgetting the DBZs for PS2 Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 and im waiting for Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 to come out on Nov 13, 2007 ^^I want to get the DearS game for PS2 but its on Japanese and will not be that much fun biggrin this is what i found on wiki for the game
A PlayStation 2 game based on the series was made for the Japanese market. It is a typical "dating sim"-type game. The player plays as Takeya Ikuhara, and basically lives the events of the anime and manga. The game introduces a new purple-haired Dears named "China" (チナ), who, like Ren, moves in with Takeya. It is predicted that you will have to choose one of the Dears at the end to pair off with.
The game received a CERO 15 rating.
lol looks like fun biggrin

As I said in my first post, it's a list of the games I've seen (should've said "played" instead) and also, games that mostly never made it to this part of the world.
There were several others, like the Rurouni Kenshin game for PSX, which don't make it to my list because I don't consider them games, but a waste of programming hours and players' money.
And the newer DBZ games (Budokai saga and the RPGs for GBA) were quite fan-only things... They weren't much of a challenge as a fighting game. True, beating the crap out of everyone with Goten is fun, but once you get a hang of blocking, countering and "big f'ing beam of doom" attacks, the game's pretty much monotonous. They're not bad (bad would be the RK game mentioned above, lasts you thirty minutes at most,) but not the best of the genre either.
However, I did forget about a few good ones.
- Neon Genesis Evangelion for Nintendo 64. An awesome game, which mainly was a retelling of the show mission by mission. - NGE: Girlfriend Of Steel for PSX... Weird game, looks more like a "missing episode" of the show. - Tenchi Muyo RPG for SNES. I loved this game, even though I never liked Tenchi Muyo itself. - Macross for NES. A classic. A true classic. - Magic Knight Rayearth for SNES/Megadrive... That game was nice, it basically covered the whole plot of the first MKR series. Both versions were the same, a quite long RPG that could be too easy if you overleveled (I managed to kill the final boss with one magic attack on my first run, because I'd maxed out the girls' levels.)

Sailor Moon: Another Story is probably the best Anime based game I have everplayed. I never beat the game due to it's huge difficulty but I will one day.

I beat it so many times, I made a walkthrough for it. smile
My personal records are: Beating it at level 30. Beating it at max level (100.) Every tech could 1-hit the boss at that level. Beating it without gear at level 45. (Might be harder than the level 30 thing, the Rainbow Ribbons help stats a lot.) Memorizing all puzzle pieces locations. If you don't get all the hidden one, you never complete it. And completing the puzzle gives extremely higher chances of beating the final boss.
Hardest thing about the game is, unlike most other RPGs, one stat point can be the difference between getting through a level or being killed by grunts. I had to reload and replay levels often during my first few runs while I tested the waters.
And of course, it was the first Anime game I saw that had two different endings. The ChibiMoon one was rather sad.
