You step into an almost club-like bar catered by what looks to be a six armed Kalohl with a tooth pick in his mouth. He seems oblivious to you, dancing about behind the bar to the music, serving each as they make a request with little to no acknowledgement. One of his arms seems to have been lost in an untold accident, having been replaced with a mechanical one.. Perhaps the work of Darbince off in his lab. When offered a greeting the Kalohl leans his head back over his shoulder and offers a slight grin, though he says nothing...

Karolina wandered into the bar, her chocolate milk colored hair flowing out around her with each step she took. She looked around the room, her eyes scanning each crevious and corner of the room.

Her thin and lithe body was covered in a tight black catsuit with thigh high black leather boots. It was one of her various outfits that she dressed herself in. Her tinkling amber eyes locked on the barkeep. She nodded in acknowledgement before moving to simply sit at a table.

rinzu-chan enters the bar and loooks around to the see kalohl and turns away from his smile and sits down next to pen after seeing the familiar face. "hiya i'm rinzu-chan" ^^ "nice to meet you"

Karolina nodded bluntly to Rinzu. She looked down at the table, her hair shifting and covered her face, her eyes blazing slightly. All she had wanted was to be left alone, ut she couldn't even manage that.

She forcefully shoved herself away from the table and moved to the bar, "The strongest stuff you've got," She said, settling herself down at one of the stools instead. She spared a glance back at Rinzu before snorting and turning away. She was smiling, and that was bad enough for Karolina. Happy people only made her more broody.

Rinzu-chan watched as Karolina nodded then moved to the bar. Rinzu looked down and then back at Karolina as she saw that she had snorted after looking at her. she thought silently with her head down.. "i hope i havn't done anything to make her mad at me..all i wanted to do was cheer her up beacuse she looked so glum..i guess she wanted to be left alone." She lifted her head and spoke softly.. "I'm sorry... i'm sorry for if i did anything to upset you..i was just....you looked glum so i thought...i'm sorry you probaly don't even want to hear me talking to you.." Then she bowed a deep and sincer bow and walked to a table a few tables from where Karolina was sitting and sat down and started to read a book she had brought with her.

Karolina glanced over at Rinzu before shaking her head, "It's not your fault. I'm glum and bitchy by nature. It's not something that can be cured or changed," She said, downing the drink that had been placed in front of her. "And yeah, I don't relate well with people. s**t, this is the most words I've said at one time...in probably five years."

Rinzu lifted her head out from her book and smiled. "i'm glad i didn't upset you, and that you don't hate me" she then placed a bookmark in her book and glanced at the clock. "i hope i can see you again sometime" she said while standing up. "i have to return to my chambers now it's getting late, have a good night" Then walked out the door to her chamber

Karolina nodded mutely in response before motioning for another drink. She downed it quickly before standing and wandering back out of the bar. She had work to do. She still had to finish setting up her room.

A small critter came wobbling into the bar. His steps could hardly be called a straight line but atleast he didn't stagger scross half the room and back again. Getting to the bar he hopped up onto a stool, having a bit of trouble as he hoisted himself to the height of a sitting utensil that was only an inch shorter than it. Sitting on the stool the clean-cut critter crossed his legs and put his hands on his knees.

His dark brown hair had been combed neat and parted on the side so that his long cut bangs dangle into his sea-foam green eyes. The right eye was a more yellow-green than the right and seemed to carry a nervous twitch. A button down shirt rests on his shoulders and a black, undone tie is draped about his neck. Similarly nice pants and shoes adorned his lower half.

"I'd like a glass of water please" the little thing said. It was almost shocking how clear and precise the little critter spoke considering the way he walked into the bar made his appear as such a drunkard. He was in fact quite sober.

A dark figure stands in the doorway, slender hands resting on either hip. "Bernak. I've told you repeatedly that you are not allowed to wander from my room without my expressed permission." Kitten strode over to the small critter sitting at the desk and pulled him off the stool, pulling him from the bar. "Miss Kitten, Miss Kitten! Please may I have my water? I need my water!" the thing whined, pulling against the pull of Kitten's hand and reaching a hand with fingers twice as long as natural towards the glass of water on the bar top.

Kitten released her grasp, letting Bernak scramble to the water and gulping it down, some water dribbling out either side of his mouth and down his chin, dripping onto his clean-cut shirt. Finishing off his tall glass of ice water, Bernak walked uneasily back towards Kitten where she took his hand and pulled him back to the lobby.

Shuki studies the Kalohl behind the bar as she thumps her books down on the table. If the only two Kalohl to have been summoned so far, then what was the explanation behind the others that appeared to be all over the building? If they had gotten into the human realm on their own, then what was to stop others. Or were they merely creations that Darbince had put together in his lab? She was a little wary of these uncontrolled Kalohl, although some of the creatures seemed terrified of Darbince and Koneko. Opening up her book once again, she pushes her glasses back and returns to serious study.

The next chapter in the book is headed up Fusing Kalohl and Shuki shivers excitedly, not having found this in any book that she'd read so far. The book details the process of fusing and the possible effects on the Kalohl that undergo it and it seemed that the chances of ruining two brilliant Kalohl were just as high as the two Kalohl fusing to get an even better one. She wondered to herself as to whether or not it would truly be worth the risk, when there was a possibility that the summoner could end up with a creature similar to the one that lived in the garbage pit. That in itself was a horrifying thought. Thinking about fusing brings Shuki to the idea that fusing may be used to bring a dead Kalohl to life. What would happen if someone were to merge a dead Kalohl with a live one? Would it create some sort of zombie?

Glancing up at the surprisingly handsome Kalohl bartender, she asks him for a small glass of orange juice, before returning to her musings, not sure whether or not he heard, and not particularly caring that much. Fusing was a long and complicated process, and it filled her mind for the moment, although when she turns the page and sees the title of the next section, Summoning Basics, thoughts of fusion completely flee her mind. This was what she had been waiting for.

She turns the page and swears softly, seeing the words, To be continued in the next volume. Shuki slams the book shut and bangs it down on the pile, grabbing the next and final volume in the set. Opening it, she reads slowly, not wanting to miss a single thing. It seemed as though there were several ways of summoning, some of them depending on the colour of the candle, and some depending on the indivual summoner, and on top of every page were the words, The unprepared will suffer the worst possible fate. Prepare yourself THOROUGHLY and miss nothing. Death will seem like a blessing otherwise. They appeared in large bold, black handwritten scrawl, presumably by someone, human or Kalohl, who had witnessed what happened when a summoning went wrong.

Shuki sits bolt upright as she hits a section pertaining to dominance. As a creature of the underworld, would she be able to maintain dominance over a Kalohl? And what would happen if she failed? Dread fills her as a thousand questions rush through her mind all at once, and she takes a long sip at her water in an attempt to calm her panic. Surely they wouldn't have let her enter into this if her vampirism would affect it somehow, although she hadn't told them of her 'condition'. This was something that she really had to discuss with someone in charge of the Kalohl project.
