ANN Toei asked ANN to find out which of its titles you would like to see via Video on Demand (subtitled in English via download-to-own and Cable/IPTV). Go here to answer the poll. PLEASE PLEASE, FOR ALL HOLY, LET'S BRING DIGIMON SUBS. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/survey/140/I would personally love to see subs of Digimon. Please, as fans, UNITE!

As I said before on DATS.us, I just hope they do a good job on the subs if they decide to do them since I haven't seen good subs from Japanese companies yet. Unless Toei's subs can impress me, fansubs still have the winning hand in my book. XD~

XD~ So far, subs win because they're available and costless. @_@; I haven't heard so many good things about Toei's subs... @_@; But maybe if they see the demand they'd get someone to make GOOD subs? @_@; I'm happy with crude subs because... something > nothing.

Unless they're actually l33t enough to do a better job than the fansubs (no sign of that from all we've seen, as you kind of mentioned), I won't be spending my own money to get their virtual files (I'd rather save up for the Japanese DVDs and then make better virtual files for myself if I ever needed that. I seriously learned all that fansubbing stuff for this kind of thing.). But I certainly would be much happier to know that they'd be more easily available for those who do want them.
In other words, these official companies really need to learn how to do a better job than the fansubbers if they want to reel in profits from people like me.~ All in all, it's sad if one pays more than deserved for a service that fans have done a better job doing for no profit. *coughcough*
Toei's virtual files would have to impress me GREATLY in both translation and video quality to win me over, but neither seem to be in the good area so far.

This is just a joke but sometimes you see fansubs are better than "official" subs. Xp;

I'm surprised how high the votes where for Digimon. It was second to Sailor Moon. It's good to know there is still a lot of interest, even if they don't sub it.

THE kage This is just a joke but sometimes you see fansubs are better than "official" subs. Xp; It's not just a joke and it's not speaking out of utter ego either, but seriously, there are quite a lot of fansubs that have done a better job than "official" subbing companies. I'm hoping for that to not be so much of a problem eventually... but it needs a lot of work *cough I want to be hired XD*. Just shows the difference in commitment. +O+
