It was another warm day at the yurts, though the horizen spoke of the rains to come as dark clouds rumbled in the distance. The horses went about their usual business; many where in the shade, others lounged in the watering hole to escape the humid air. Amid all this, several dust clouds were being thrown into the air as a tiny filly scampered this way and that. The little gal was under the watchful eye of a friend of parents; Abhay had been taken by his human and would be gone for the next few hours or so, therefore Reyla had some personal time. Whickering happily, and oblivious to the grumbles of irritation around her, Reyla bounced around happily before scampering over to the water trough.

The big stallion's ears were down and his head was low to the ground. The feeling of a million broken hearts overwhelmed the stallion as he continued his lonely walk to no where in particular. A sound of pounding hooves caught the stallion's attention as he lifted his head a little. Other horses around here? A mare's mate had just passed away from disease, and Despair could feel her pain in his heart as the bloody tears continued to roll out of his eyes and down his face. Quietly, the sorrowful stallion made his way towards the sound of hooves.

A spot of black near the otherside of the yurt caused the little filly to glance up from her drink; was that her daddy? Taking a better look, she noticed that this horse was a lighter color than her father, not to mention the strange scar on his thigh. Ears perked in interest, Reyla tottled away from the trough and went to investigate. Stopping just a few feet away from the newcomer, Reyla noticed two things: One..his eyes were a startling white, no pupil or anything! Two, a streak of red was on his face... Worried about the stranger, the filly walked a bit closer. "Mister? Mister, are you okay? You're bleeding...."

The stallion's nose flared a little as he sniffed around a little for the scent of the others. One was fairly strong, and growing stronger by the second. When the sound of a filly's voice caught his ears, his ears twisted straight towards her as his eyes continued to tear up with blood. "Yes... I'm okay." He lied to the filly. Despair was cursed to live with a horrible sadness cast over him for the rest of eternity.

"Mister....are you sure?" Reyla scampered a bit closer to the new stallion and stared at the blood running from his eyes. She gave a soft snort of concern stretched out her neck to examine the male for any wounds other than his eyes. "I can call my babysitters' human! He can fix you right up!"

Despair blinked his eyes and nodded his head to the little filly. "I'm perfectly alright." He said as the tears continued come out of his eyes. A young foal had just lost its parents, and Desire could feel the pain of its heart. A small snort was heard from the stallion as he closed his eyes a little, the pain was as though his heart was bleeding and a thousand cuts were slashed through it. Humans?! No, they would try to capture him! "No, its okay, really. I don't need a humans help."
