I have, yep. I've been watching it on YouTube, because I was at my Japanese course when it was on. David is amazing in it, but no surprises there...

The miniseries is on YouTube? I haven't been able to find the first episode anywhere, just a few songs from it. xd
And the guy who plays Filch in Harry Potter was in an episode. (But no cat with him.) eek xp

I love Blackpool. I'm a sucker for musicals to begin with, and the storyline interested me as well. But David is still the best part. whee heart
I watched half of it on Stage6, and the rest on YouTube. I really want to own it though. Apparently another version of Blackpool was created for this year, called Viva Laughlin. However, I know hardly anything about it.
Oh, and I've of course downloaded some of the songs featured in the series. Gabrielle's Should I Stay is my favorite for obvious reasons, and I really like The Boy With The Thorn In His Side by The Smiths.

This is one of my favourite series...to those watching on YouTube, the first three episodes are available on Stage6. I can't link to them, because links to episodes violate the TOS, but if you PM me, I may or may not be able to hook you up with some info. wink

I was just looking up Viva Laughlin, the Blackpool remake - and Hugh Jackman has a recurring role, besides being one of the producers! The rest of the cast doesn't look nearly as good as the original in my opinion, but I plan to give the series a chance this fall.

It looks a bit...bleh. *sighs* Americans. Why not just show the original?

I've seen it and absolutely loved it! Wouldn't mind seeing it again though, I'll probably comb through youtube again soon... at the moment I'm busy, watching IT Crowd and Metalocalypse yay!
