A wasted and foul testament to the modernization of the world. The system was built from the aqueduct system of a long-gone empire. That said, everything is very old but well built. Still, evil things make their home here and they could very well be in possession of something valuable, especially to a seeker. Make 2d6 monster checks from the Occult Minions table. If you die here, you may teleport to either the Cathedral or the Library.

Mitsotsu landed with a splash in a few inches of what he hoped was just water, lucky staying on his feet. He first noticed the smell, which soon forced him to pull his scarf tightly on his face. Even if this was just water he was standing it, there was no doubt different types of mold and rats and who knows what else down here that would give off this kind of funk, not to mention disease...
(Roll for # of Monster Checks.)

Mitsotsu cursed his luck as he looked up at the fissure he had fallen through. There was no way he was going to be able to jump or climb back up that high, and though he had somehow been teleported to the library when he had died, he could not do it at will as of yet. With his wings also out of commission, he made his way down the tunnel, his eyes glowing in the darkness as he went further and further from the light of the fissure.

Mitsotsu heard sloshing ahead of him, and after stopping and waiting, a zombie-like ghoul came moaning towards him. Mitsotsu's face curled in detest as his aura flared to life, actually causing the area around him to glow.

The Ghoul, seemingly unacostum to the light, moaned in what Mitsotsu guessed was agony, stumbling a few steps back as it covered his eyes. Mitsotsu bit his lip as he stepped forward, ready to rip this thing to shreds and put it out of it's misery. He put his hand foreward after attatching his sickle, sending it launching toward the stumbling Ghoul.
(Ghoul lost his first turn, allowing me to attack twice.)

The sickle easily ripped through the soft flesh of the miserable being in front of him, ripping even deeper on the return trip and causing the Ghoul to writh and twist in obvious pain and agony. "Wow, it's almost as good as a human's dreams... Almost."

Ghoul: Incapacitated.
With one final moan the Ghoul fell with a splash to the floor, the 'water' lapping around him on it's way deeper into the sewers. As was his trademark with enemies he defeated physically, Mitsotsu took out a cloth and wiped the grime from his sickle before tossing the cloth over the unmoving body. With a smile behind his scarf, Mitsotsu followed the water, taking a turn at an intersection, hoping to find some way out of this rancid place.

Soon after turning the corner, Mitsotsu jumped back, detest once again washing over his face. Another malformed Ghould was making it's way to his location, followed closely behind by one that looked to have an arm missing. They both writhed in pain of even existing as the moaned towards Mitsotsu, his aura flashing and bathing the Ghouls in a red light once again.

The front Ghoul stumbled back like the fallen Ghoul had, but the one with the missing arm seemed to have been through so much pain already that it ignored the red glow. It made it's way slowly towards Mitsotsu, not flinching or even aware when he raised his hand to whip out the sickle, attempting to take off the arm that was still attatched.

The hit it's mark, ripping through the arm and arching back home, the slight current of the floor enough to carry it off. The Ghoul paused long enough to moan loudly, grinding what were left of it's teeth and shuddering visibly.

Ghoul 1: 24 Ghoul 2 (Armless): 15
What had been the frontmost Ghoul had fallen backwards into the river of liquid and was barely getting itself up at this point. But now with two missing limbs, the armless Ghoul moved forward again. No longer having arms actually seemed to speed it up, as it screamed and launched headfirst at Mitsotsu, ready to do any damage it could.

Mitsotsu instinctively lifted an arm in defense. Seezing this opportunity, the Ghoul bit down hard, taking as much of a taste as it could before Mitsotsu pushed it back, sending it sprawling into it's "partner" which had just gotten up.

Mitsotsu: 71
Mitsotsu glared at the Ghoul, shaking his arm to get off as much of the slime that had transfered to him as he could before counterattacking. This time he aimed for the chest, hoping to do a bit more damage than before.

Mitsotsu's sickle bit back for him, digging deep into the armless Ghouls chest. The only thing keeping it up was the fact that he was still leaning against the whole Ghoul after Mitsotsu's push. Whether the whole Ghoul was holding it up or not remained to be seen, but for now it was doing well as a leaning post.
