xD I doubt anyone got that in time. Instead of deleting this topic, I figure I'll post noteworthy events that are happening in astronomy/space from time to time to let you all know in case you want to watch any of it. :'D

Anyone else like astronomy? =P

Weren't you able to take a picture? I'm not that much into astronomy that I would get up in the middle of the night for it, but I always enjoy the physics, let alone the pretty pictures smile

I missed it. I searched for the moon that entire morning but it was blocked by all these trees and houses because it was so low in the sky.

So no pictures, thats just something I googled.

Heeey. Did anyone else see the international space station?

http://www.heavens-above.com/

Well if you were in North America you could have seen it cross the sky a little after 8:30. ^^ But you can see it at different, more convienent times if you check the sky chart~ ( depending on where you live )

I went out to where it was dark to see it, and it was this bright orange star-like figure that just zoomed across the sky surprised
and then there was a shooting star too. xD But the ISS is only out for a minute or so beacuse then it passes into Earth's shadow.
Kinda cool because there are 3 people in there right now. =P

So if you didn't see it its going to be out again tomorrow... [ that is if you care...] and for other times check the link i posted..

THEN THERE WERE 50 SPACE STATIONS CONSTANTLY REVOLVING AROUND THE EARTH.

Cool picture. Still do not understand why someone would want to live in a space station. Well, at least one so small compared to say, the Earth..

Wow. It's been a while since someone has posted in the GD. xd

But just so you know :3 ::

- Orion is really nice and easy to spot in January
- There will be a total eclipse of the moon Feb. 20th. It'll enter the umbra around 8:45 and leave a little past midnight. EST. heart It should be really pretty considering Regulus and Saturn will be nearby!

- MAY 19 ( Seems so far away... ) will be a blue moon. ;D

Once it a blue moon... whee Once in every 2 and a half years...

It may not turn blue but whatever. dramallama
