We need to start posting ED threads in the CB. They'd be getting a taste of their own medicine, for one. Yeah, maybe they wouldn't understand what we're talking about, but it's not like we can comprehend their spam, anyway.

Alright, maybe no one would even enter them, but maybe if we just put the word 'bump' in the title of an ED sufficient thread and toss it into the CB, they'd know what it's like to have people spam up their forum. Hey, maybe if we execute it right, we'd have a bunch of CB'ers all like, "u have 2 l00k everywere for a bump threaddd!!!!!!!!1!", or we might even convert some people from the ways of n00bism!

Well, I think it'd be funny if we could make something work out that way. I know it's not very likely, but it's still a pretty funny thought, maybe even a hope.

Our devious plan:

Organize a 'raid party.' (Group of members willing to help in this endeavour.)
Find mediocre to high-quality ED topics.
PM the authors asking permission to repost the thread in the CB and detail our motives to said author (and probably reel in some more members.).
Detail a plan of attack.
Post high-quality topics in synchronization throughout the CB.
Remain somewhat active in said topics to ward off n00bs and convert newbies.
Repeat or form a new stratagem based on success of first assault.

So, here's the thing: we need help with this. Comment here if you wish to help, or have any comments on the matter.

Also, how about we get old ED threads from about two years ago? The new ones... They're like a really good GD thread, at best.

Sounds like a very good idea.
The problem will be getting the right caliber thread, anything that CB can spam they will, for the sake of bumps.
As for a next step? driving those who don't want to convert out of the CB, the GD is going to be invaded.
As a GD native (I was invited from there) I dont like the idea of driving the CB people into the GD eek

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to pull by doing this. Most of the CB isn't even literate and the users who can read are bots. xd ;;

They're just going to scroll to "Post Reply", type in "bump" and move on to the next thread. The ones in there who'd take part in extended discussion probably know where that particular forum is located. 3nodding

And if that's not enough, there's always a simple rule of Gaia when it comes to the Chatterbox and it's users. No matter what you do, there's always going to be more of them than there are of you.

Yeah, but the thread starters can delete the bumps, and if you say no bumping, I think others in the thread can report bumps.

ED threads in the CB will be spammed... for every CB bump bot banned 5 more sign up.

I doubt if some of them posess the ability to read....

What we're trying to do is ward off n00bs by staying with the discussion, and convert newbies before they turn into n00bs. Moreover, you're never going to accomplish anything without any effort, and I think this is at least worth a try. If it doesn't work well the first time, we'll just reform our strategy and try again.
