The room before you is quiet aside from the single woman working about the kitchen, adorned with a slightly tilted chef's hat. When entering the room further and coming around the counter, you realize that half of the woman's body is scaled, and serpent-like. She turns to you and glares with a soft hissing sigh, her voice heavily accented.
"You are here to eat like that piggissh loaf, Deloof? If yes, you go to garbage pit and sit with him, though he may not share." She looks away for but a moment, only to look back to you once more, with a louder hiss "Why are you sstill here?! I ssay get out with you! You dissturb my delicate concentration!"

Shuki enters the kitchen, doing her best not to stare at the strange creature that passed for a chef. She's not sure whether or not it's safe to ask for food, but decides to come back when the woman is in a better mood, although she doubts that she'd ever be in a good mood. She writes a short note, asking if this was the correct place to come for food, or if that was meant to occur in the bar, then she tuirns and leaves, making a mental note to check back at a later time.

She writes a short note, asking if this was the correct place to come for food, or if that was meant to occur in the bar, then she tuirns and leaves, making a mental note to check back at a later time. Ssayi stops at the sound of someone entering 'her' kitchen, and only turns a slow, snake-like, gaze, to the woman who stayed only long enough to leave a note. Ssayi emitted a soft sigh of relief and went to the note, reading it and nodding a great deal of approval that this woman had 'asked' for food rather then taking it, not even disturbing her work. She then writes below the question in a flowing hand script that could barely be called English, a simple "yes". She then turns back to her cooking and various other tasks about the kitchen, apparently a very prideful creature, and it seemed when approached in the correct fashion she could be very reasonable.. Unlike Vem.

Returning to the kitchen, she smiles at the neat note left on the bench for her. She pulls out another piece of paper and quickly writes, May I please leave an order with you and some money? She was enjoying the silent communication with the woman and wondered if, perhaps, the chef was simply underappreciated, which made her feel irritated at all who tresspassed into her domain. Perhaps eventually she could strike up a sort of friendship. Smiling, she places the note on the counter and leaves again.

Ssayi's golden eyes follow the woman out the door once more after leaving yet another note. Her eyes narrow faintly, as she murmers softly to herself, slithering over to the note and reading it.
"Ssuch an odd girl.. Sshe could jusst sspeak to me.. Maybe sshe iss jusst in awe of my greatnesss.."
She smiles to herself, indulging in her self praise, as she moves about the kitchen once more.

Creeping back to see if the lady has replied to her note, she seats herself at the counter, noting that although her note was gone, there was no reply. Not wanting to disturb the woman at her work, she simply sits and waits for her take a break in her work, watching in fascination as she masterfully handles the cooking, which emits a tempting aroma.

As she wandered the halls, her mind tumbling uneasily with questions that she didn't feel like pestering Vem anymore about, her stomach gave an annoyed twang of pain. Furrowing her brow Kitten looks at her stomach and gripes about how it had eaten two days ago and should be content for a few more. Unfortunatly for her, her stomach only replied with a grumble and no real answer for her. She sighed and looked about for the kitchen. Spotting it up ahead she began her walk there, her stomach urging her to go faster.
Entering the kitchen, Kitten sniffed the air, her mouth watering at all the great smells. She looked about slowly until she say the chef. Approaching her, Kitten cleared her voice before speaking. "Hello. I was wondering if you would possibly prepare me some of your wonderful food? My stomach would appreciate it tremendously."

Ssayi turns at the mention of 'your wonderful food' smiling with a great deal of pride, her head rises into the air, and she swivel about, to face not one, but two woman, catching her a bit off guard.
"We-Well.. Yess, my food isss wonderful. I wouldn't have expected humanss to take ssuch a noticce.. I ssupposse I could gracce you both with ssome of my 'wonderful' cooking."
She didn't even bother asking the seated woman, as she had remembered her as the 'odd girl leaving notes'.

Shuki smiles and opens her mouth to speak for the first time, aware of the strange way the woman was looking at her, when she did, occasionally, spare her a glance.
"And what are you making today, ma'am? It certainly smells delicious..."

Wrinkles her nose at the mention of her being human, but she really couldn't blame the sweet woman. For all physical appearences Kitten looked and mostly acted human. With a smile she found a seat to wait for the womans responce to Shuki's question, finding it frivilous to question her about it again.

She seems to go on and on about how wonderful her cooking is, before finally realizing they had asked what she was cooking. She paused a moment, and turned back to look into the pot, then to them again.
"I'm not ssure.. I think it'ss ssoup of ssome kind. I'm ssure it'ss wonderful though, conssidering I made it."

Shuki smiles pleasantly throughout the woman's rant, waiting patiently for her to finish.
"Might I try a bit, please ma'am, and I apologise if this sounds rude, but do you have a name that you prefer to be called by?"

Kitten smiles warmly at the woman. It was possible this had been her first real smile of her entire time spent here. She found the woman to be quite adorable. Looking over at the poot the woman had gestured to she noded. "I cannot wait to try it whenever you've finished preparing it."

Ssayi's head lifts a bit higher, as she presents two bowls shortly after the request, setting them before each of them a spoon to match. He golden gaze then turns to the woman asking her name, frowning a moment, before turning to head off into another room, perhaps a storage of some sort, speaking back over her shoulder.
"It issn't polite to assk ssuch an important lady'ss name... But ssince you've already realizzed your error, my name iss Ssayi.

"Oh, you have such a beautiful name, Ms Ssayi, ma'am, and I apologise again for the rudeness. This looks brilliant!"
She picks up the spoon and samples a mouthful of the strange liquid. Grinning from ear to ear, she swallows. "It certainly tastes as good as it smells!" Smiling, she finishes the bowl.
