I was crusing around the internet the other day and i was on IMDb(Internet Movie Database for anyone who hasnt heard of it). Anyways while I was on there I saw an announcement that they are planning on making a movie of Max Brook's book "World War Z" and I was like OMG I have to let other people know about this. If I find any details like the cast or crew or even a trailer I'll let y'all know.

wikipedia A film adaptation is in development after the rights were obtained by Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment, with the screenplay being written by Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski.

That'll be an interesting movie. Hopefully nothing like that will ever happen but if it does I want to be ready I already have a backpack with some survival gear with me at all times...Thank you Les Paul and Max Brooks

Wow, that sounds excellent. I really enjoyed the book. As long as they make the large battles suitably epic, that's great.

I just looked on I.M.D and they said it's coming out in 2010. A little while to wait, but I think its worth it.

I loved the book. They'd do better to turn it into a DVD collection instead of a movie.

This is a potential Make or break for the whole zombie genre. I mean if they make it right its the kind of movie that would take zombies from their little spot in horror to being a respected movie style. Now I just hope they dont F Up.
(if they use fast zombies. I Swear to god...)

I heard it was supposed to have Brad Pitt in it. I'm a fan of Brad and the book, so I'm kinda excited about this movie ^.^

Okay when I heard about this back in '08, I was pretty excited. I loved the book and have read it over 4 times lol. I did some research and got excited when it said it was coming out in 2010, this was still back in '08. The I got to thinking: a movie of the book would suck arse. I mean, think about it. How many interviews does Max do in the books? How long are average movies? like 2-3 hours. I garuntee you, they can not fit all the chapters of WWZ in 3 hours of film. They would have to select only a few stories and tell them, and that would ruin the point of the entire movie. I think it would be better as a TV series, or a mini-series at the smallest. A DVD collection after the TV series aired would be great. But I just hope they don't screw it up, like someone said, this movie could make or break the entire spot of zombies in the horror genre. If it's a movie, it'll 100% epically fail. If it's a TV series, and it's done RIGHT, then it will most likely be 100% win. At least in my book.
