Welcome students, to an excellent class, Astronomy. Before we start lets look at the grading system.
Pass
O - Outstanding - 100
E - Exceeds Expectations - 90
A - Acceptable - 80
Fail
P - Poor - 70
D - Dreadful - 60
T - Troll - 50 or below
Take sometieme to understand the grading system and their numerical counterparts. You understand, lets move on.
The Curriculum: Part A
Each year shall receive a weekly Lesson and Assignment, due five days within assigning date. Occasionally Extra Credit shall be given out with your written assignment.
The written assignments will be posted here, for the appropriate year to complete. An in class lesson is also done (which is roleplayed by the teacher and all students despite year differences)
Part B: Turning it in
Please place your name, year and EC if extra credit is present in your subject. If you have more than one character please submit only one assignment with the names of all your characters on it.
Part C: What will we learn in our written assignments?
1st Years - Planets and Stars
2nd - Celestial Beings and Objects
3rd - Constellations
4th - Greek Astrology
5th - Chinese Astrology
6th - History of Astronomy
7th - Cosmology
Part D: What will we learn in class?
Anything else that must be unanimously covered in the subject of the stars.

Professor Lavalliere walked in, opening the classroom windows to let in the morning sun.
"Good afternoon students, as it is time for the year to begin, lets start off with something simple. Who can tell me the origins of astronomy? Where did it begin or who created the first calendar known in wizardry?

Chole shifted nervously in her seat. She new she answer and was generally very good in Astronomy, but no one else seemed to know what it was and she was still trying to fit in.
She hoped that Professor Lavalliere wouldn't ask her to answer the question.

"Hmm...Mlle. Chloe perhaps you could answer the question?" said Professor Lavalliere, she smiled, hoping the student would reply.

Chloe started suddenly at hearing her name being called.
"Um...I'm sorry Professor Lavalliere, I don't know..." she said very softly, sliding further down into her seat.

Seated a few seats away, Simone cast a sympathetic look at her friend Chloe. She knew Chloe was very shy and she hated it when Professors put her on the spot.

"Well its rather simple when you think about," whispered Mena, hoping the girl didn't hear her. She turned to the class, "does anyone else know the answer?"

Simone looked around the class and saw the blank looks of the students. Without raising her hand, she said, rather loudly, "Well, I don't think anyone knows it, so why don't you tell us?"
