So, nowadays, self-mutilation is kind of a common thing around teens. We all know about it. We call kids who cut 'emo' and whatnot, but that's not always the case. They cut to make themselves feel better, or... I don't know. I can't really say why exactly they do it. I'm not the kind of person that's done the act. I've had thoughts about it in times of deep sadness, but I'm the kind of person that's very against that.

So.
Have you cut/burned/other form of self mutilation?
What are your thoughts on it?
Have you ever thought of doing it?

Yeah, I agree. I kind of think maybe it's way to distract them... Like, you know how in elementary school, you'd complain about your arm hurting or something, and someone would come up and punch your leg and be like, "Well, now your leg hurts to distract you from your arm."
Well, maybe cutters cut to distract themselves from their emotional pain.

I've never thought about doing it. If you ask me, most of it is for attention, which is why it's done on the wrists, not on the thighs. But the people who aren't doing for attention are dumb. They're doing it wrong.

That's very true, but some people are just so lost in their pain, maybe they don't care how healthy or unhealthy it may be. They're just looking for a way to numb that pain then and there...
Also, on the attention part, they might not get any attention from people close to them, and them cutting is like, "LOOK, I'VE DONE SOMETHING DANGEROUS. PLEASE CARE. CARE ABOUT ME."

I don't approve of cutting too, which is why I don't cut. And like... I try to get people out of cutting. I agree with you, it's not the healthiest way of handling things, but people don't care what we or anyone else thinks, or else they wouldn't do it in the first place. D:

Exactly. Why do cutters tell people if they don't care? Because they want the attention. And if they want attention so bad, you know what they could do? Talk to someone. Wow. I'm a freaking genius. There's no way to justify cutting. And for those of us who say things like, "OMG GUYZ I hav teh razr in mah pokit 'n itzz nooot teh fooonnnee!" You're retarded. And you get on my nerves. Because when you cut you're a coward. Pain does not solve pain. So stfu and deal. I'm sure there are people who have it harder than you.
