*As Samson's nigh-lifeless form is picked up, his mind and thought process folds back on itself. Samson begins to remember things...He remembers coming to Namek, learning of Kami's origins, fighting King Piccolo, trying to survive against Saiyan invaders, facing down Jeice, competing in the 26th World Martial Arts Tournament, training with Mr. Satan, facing down Shiro, Bulma, destroying iCE, climbing the Lookout, leaving home, and...his father.*

Because, son, it's what I fought my entire life for.

Your mother and I...we left Vegeta because the king there, well, he was a bad man. In fact, alot of the people there were bad men. The Saiyans only wanted power. The more power the better, and the deals they had with Frieza's sydacate--

*The images of the past fade, time moves forward, repressed things surafce. Samson fights against it, against the memory of when that had happened, but it's no use.*

*Samson opens the door to his house. He puts down his school bag and jams his hands into his pockets.*
Hey, Mom, is there any--
*Samson eneters the kitchen and sees his mother crying. Alarmed, Samson rushes over to her.*
What is it? What happened?
It-*sniff*-it's your father, Samson. He--his old scouter. It beeped this morning after you left. He was going to work when it registered a power level above any human's. I asked him if it could belong to another one of us--of the people who left, but he said no. He put it on, and it displayed something and....he just left. He told me to be safe and he left with his old armor!
*As Samson's mother disolves into tears, Samson bolts to his parents' room. He opens the last drawer down on his mother's dresser and takes out her green-lensed scouter.*
s**t, I'll never catch him.
*Samson runs out of his house and clicks the buton on the side of the scouter.*
Let's see. No, no, no that's too low. YES! That's high enou--wait, no it says that belongs to someone named Piasta. No, no. Wait, that's it.
*Samson runs into the street, dodging the cars.*
//Come on, I gotta be faster than this.//
*He reaches the other side of the street and enters an alley. Samson begins to run faster along the side of one of the buildings.*
//COME ON!//
*Finally, Samson comes out of the alley, running around seventy mies per hour. He ducks and swerves through the oncoming traffic.*
//He's a few more miles ahead. Why the hell can't I fly!//
*Samson continues running, and eventually arrives outside an orphanage in front of a thick forest. His scouter beeps.*
//He's in there, alright. Goddammit, dad.//
*Samson enters the forest. He continues to follow the reading on his scouter until he hears his father's voice.*
--don't know why you did this! I have a wife and a kid who just turned 17. I--
SHUT UP! YOU SOUND JUST LIKE THEM! YOU'RE A SAIYAN, DAMMIT! NEVER FORGET THAT! It's because of you we're in this situation.
LOOK, FRENIR, just because I headed the effort to build the trasport?
No, the transport was a good idea. Vegeta was getting to damn crowded, and the king was losing sight of what was important, but we're still Saiyans. You said we'd go and inhabbit a new planet, a planet we could call New Vegeta, but instead we're here. On Earth. Where we have to pretend to be humans. AND NOW THEY'VE COME FOR US!
OK, OK, so we just have to take care of them. As soon as Zabin and the others get here--

*Frenir frowns.*

--all return to our happy little lives as Earthlings. Yes, well unless more are sent. And, of course, they're much stronger than us, and you're a little on the old side, of course. Even for a Saiyan, you've passed your prime, and--
*Frenir's scouter beeps, registering a power.*
s**t! They've found us!

*Once again, the images swirl away, consumed by the all-encompassing darkness creeping through Samson's mind. There wasn't much time left. Even so, Samson remembers what happened next. The Saiyans desecended, quickly taking out his father and Frenir. They weren't killed, simply bound and gagged. When the others arrived, the Saiyans ambused them, killing their leader, Zabin. The others were also captured, and the Saiyans laughed. Using his scouter, the comander of the Saiyan band radioed for a pick up. The whole time, Samson had wanted to jump in to save his father, but he knew he couldn't. Even in his old age, his father was much more powerful than he was, and he had been taken down with ease by the Saiyans. Samson decided that he had to do something. He had to be a man, and resolved to jump out into the open, whether it would mean his death or not, but that's when the ship came into veiw. It was the first space ship Samson had ever seen. As it hovered over the forest, the Saiyans rose into the air, one by one with the prisoners, and entered. When the last one had gone in with his father, Samson had run out into the open, gazing at the ship above. He had wondered how he would get aboard, when the ship began to move away from the Earth. Samson had realized that, unless he could do something, he would probably never see his father again. Samson is taken back to the moment. He remembers feeling scared, and angry, but he had needed to save his father from the Saiyans. Once the need was there, Samson had known he would be able to fulfill it. With a great burst of energy, Samson had risen into the air at a tremendous pace and had taken after the ship. He remembers reaching the ship, and breaching its hull with his bare hands. Samson remembers entering the ship, knowing that he would need to find a sealed off place to hide. He hadn't been stupid. He knew that they were taking his father to Vegeta. Where Samson hid and how he had survived during the trip was now a mystery to him, a memory lost to time. All Samson remembers is being thrilled as the ship touched down on Vegeta's surface. Punching a hole in the wall, Samson remembers jumping down into a deserted, well-lit hallway. He had walked around the ship, wondering why he hadn't encountered anyone, until he came upon the enterence, the door open. Approaching one of the spherical, one-way windows, Samson remebers seeing his father kneeled before a figure with a mane of dark hair wearing a white cape. Upon this man's Saiyan armor had been a crest with the number nine. Samson had known it was King Vegeta. Behind Vegeta, stood the team of Saiyans who had kidnapped Samson's father. Around Samson's father, were the bodies of his slain team mates, fellow Saiyans who had migrated to Earth years ago. Samson remembers that blood has still been running from their bodies when he had seen them. Looking upon the horrible sight, Samson had been brought back to reality when King Vegta struck his father across the face. It was then that Samson had heard the most chilling voice in the universe for the first time.*

Lord Frieza I--
*The figure adavces, walking past Vegeta to Samson's father, kneeled and bound on the floor, blood running down his face.*
You are the one responsible for commiting an act of treason against this planet a number of years ago...
*Samson is shocked as the figure steps into the light.*
...Isn't that right?
*Frieza grins as Samson's father spits at his feet.*
Why do you even care? I lead a band of my fellow Saiyans away from a place that was steadily being taken over by the likes of you. I fought for was was right, just, and good. You...With all of your strength and power, power over my race, over my planet, over my king...
*King Vegeta moves to strike Samson's father, but is restrained by a gesture from Frieza.*

*Frieza continues to smile.*
The problem is, you are quite right. I don't understand. Truth be told, I don't give a damn what your pathetic monkey brain thinks. The only thing that concerns me...
*Frieza frowns.*
...IS THAT EVER SINCE YOU AND YOUR BAND OF TRAITORS LEFT, THE OTHER MONKEYS HAVEN'T BEEN THE SAME!!! Quite frankly, I allow this planet to exist because of the good it can do my vast empire. You are mercenaries, tools, nothing more. But since you left, the goddamn Saiyans have been questioning me, my motives, and why they serve me. This has impacted buisness greatly, which is why I've had Vegeta send people after you. I'd wanted to bring you back here and take care of the problem right at its source. And now, you've finally been found after all of these years.
*Frieza grins.*
The people here think you escaped to a paradise free of my influence. Little do they know that the mudball you now live in is populated by beings more pathetic than even you monkeys!
*Samson's father smiles.*
Heh. No, you're wrong, Frieza. Earth is a paradise....a paradise that...that I now know I'll never see again. If you kill me, people will think we failed. You want King Vegeta to make an example of me. With my death, so dies the rebellion against your tyranny....Well, then...I have no regrets...I only wish...I could have said good-bye to my son...
*Samson's father looks at Frieza, straight into his eyes.*
I take back what I said. You have no strength. You're afraid, afraid of what the Saiyans can do. That's why you put us down and keep a firm grip on our king. To me, that's what's really patheti--
*Samson's father's eyes widen in shock. He cannot complete his sentence. He looks down at his chest to see his armor, torn by a blast from Frieza's now-smoking finger, stained red with blood, blood from his heart. Raising his head slowly to look at Frieza one last time, Samson's father smiles before falling over, hitting the cold floor of the royal palace.*
What a fool. VEGETA! Throw him out into the streets. They have all heard of him, they know his face. Let your pathetic planet see what happens to heroes. HahahahHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!!
*As Frieza laughs, Samson is struck with horror, outrage, and fear. His own father had died right before his eyes. Sweat pours down Samson's face as he hits the floor. Clenching his teeth, Samson pounds the ground with his fist, denting the ship's floor.*
It isn't fair!
*Samson looks up, consumed by rage. He bolts toward the door of the ship, running through it.*
DO YOU HEAR ME, FRIEZA, YOU b*****d! IT ISN'T GODDAMN FAIR!!!!
*Samson eyes go blank as a great wind blows his hair on end. Looking around outside, however, he sees that everyone had gone. They had left with his father's body.*
RAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!
*With a great yell, Samson expells a tremendous amount of power, cracking the palace. Eventually, however, with no target for his rage, with no one to hate, Samson loses control, hitting the ground again, and disolving to tears. His energy spent, Samson lets the darkness overtake him.*

*Again the memories fly past. Samson remembers awakening on Earth in the woods with Frenir standing over him. He's told that Frenir had saved his life by playing dead and getting them the hell off the planet, by not going to his father's aid and just letting him die....That's what Samson had thought when Frenir had told him how lucky they both were, that neither would be there if it hadn't been for him. Samson remembers the anger he felt toward Frenir, the man who had mocked his father and the Earth.

And then Samson remembers what he did.

In a fit of rage, Samson had snatched Frenir's gun from his belt pointed it at Frenir's chest, and shot him with his first Revolver Blast. Samson remmebers the expression on Frenir's face as he died; the shock, the waste. At the time, Samson hadn't cared. He had just run off into the woods, staying there for days before returning home. In that time, Samson had to come to terms with the death of his father at the hands of the evil Frieza and the heinous crime he had commited by killing the man who did not help him. It was then that Samson had sworn to himself that, to make up for his crime, he would do as his father had done. He would fight for what was right, just, and good.

As Samson is brought back to the present, things shift into focus. He sees the dimly-lit inside of Guru's house. He begins to pick up the power levels around him once again. He remembers seeing Zorro before being passing out. He had done it. Zorro had become the legendary Super Saiyan of this generation! ...But....Zorro nees help. Samson knows that the golden power is not enough to defeat Frieza. Frieza is too strong for that, stronger than any of them has thought.*
//I need to...help....I need....to do....all....that I can....to help him.....n one else is here....I can't die.....not yet....for the Earth....for the memory of my father....for myself....I need to survive//
*Samson's thoughts are brought into even sharper focus as Guru places his hand on Samson's forehaed.*
