So, last night I invited my friend to the movies with me. She was kind of hinting that she wanted to go when I mentioned it, so I figured why not invite her?
A few minute later, her boyfriend, whom I am also fiends with, gets piseed and tells her she can't go. I guess he figures we're trying something behind his back. (He would probably expect her to cheat because he has cheated on her.) But, it's not like it was just the two of us. My mom was going to the movies with me, and my invitation was open, even to him.
Today I was talking with him, and it was like nothing ever happened.
I already know these two are bad for each other, so I wouldn't feel bad if something I did broke them up, but I don't understand why he is so suspicious. If he was observant at all he would know I'm not attracted to her (though I no longer know if she isn't towards me,) so why can't people just pay attention to how others act?

Some people just don't have a gift for- I forgot the word- perceiving human actions. Maybe he thinks his GF has the hots for you and well, that's enough for something to happen. But in front of your mom? Er, that's... possible...

I just want to say that first off, if he has cheated on her, I don't see why they're still together. That's just something that doesn't fly with me.
Like burning_light said, in front of your mom? Maybe he thought that you and your friend were going to watch one movie, and your mom was going into another. Or maybe he just got really jealous of other guys trying to get with his girlfriend.
