So, one of my friends and I decided that we're going to have a Lent movie marathon and watch a bunch of good Jesus movies. So far, we have Jesus Christ Super Star and Ben Hurr. If you have any more ideas for us, post them here.
(btw, I realize that Lent is a long ways away, but I figured I should start asking for movies now so that people have plenty of time to post here.)

Godspell is vaguely similar to J.C.Superstar, but I like it much better. (I'm also biased because I was in 2 productions of it.)
The Scarlet and the Black is a really awesome movie about priests in Rome during WW2, if you decide to expand it to religious based movies I would recommend that. And I haven't seen the movie about St. Terese but I bet that's good too.

Galileo Q Can't miss the obvious: The Passion of the ChristI don't know . . . I saw it once already and I'm really glad I did, but I don't know if I could watch it again. I'm very squeemish and I spent a lot of the movie squeezing me eyes shut so I wouldn't have to see flesh being ripped from Jesus's back and nails being pounded into his flesh.

I also haven't seen the whole thing, so that might be part of the reason I don't like it that much.

The Robe is old but good. JC superstar has good music but I think it's sort of not very Christian . .

Mr duggles-worth boondock saints is good but its not very good jesusy packed love. It's a good catholic movie though Boondock Saints is overwhelming proof that Catholic's aren't your average run-of-the-mill Christians. Not the best example of morality, though. But man, those Irish boys are cute!!!
