Personality

He tries to give off the appearance of a carefree almost foolish individual. He takes life at a stride at a time. Sometimes, this attitude gets him into trouble with others, often rubbing them the wrong way. However, there maybe much more to him than meets the eye. In any case, he is very knowledgable about history, literature, and music. In battle, a very calm and collected mage.

Companions

His spirit partner is the ghost of a child protogy mage by the name of Yachiru. She was given this name by Brien after an old Japanese movie he once saw. She's 7 years old, has long red hair, and wears a white and pink mage's gown with long sleeves that hang down her arms. Furthermore, being highly skilled in the arts of magic, summoning, and seals, she integrates with Bryant to aid him in battle. Outside of battle, she's curious, innocent to a fault, and cheerful.

Weapon of Choice

Music Book and Baton. Fastened to his right glove is a music book and a small slit to old his baton, whose pages expand and come alive once the book has been opened. The book itself has several spells written in rhythm and rhyme from casting magic attacks to performing seals and summoning undead spirits (powerful sages, swordsman, wisemen, clerks, kings, etc.). With the song before him and his baton in hand he can conduct these spells into life.

Outfit

Since his primary occupation is being a teacher, he often dresses in semi-formal attire. He wears an aquamarine short-sleeved dress shirt, white tie, and navy blue slacks. Occassionally, he'll put on his navy blue sports jacket as well or wear a black trench coat to class. He also usually wears a rollex and may use a pair of reading glasses. Outside the classroom, he just ditches the tie and rollex. Generally, he keeps his weapons in his suitcase or a bookbag, just in case something happens. In battle, he likes to wear a long white apocalyptic jacket with black intertwining streaks, a light gray leather vest with several folding fasteners, black slackes and shoes, and a dark red velvet scarf tucked into his shirt. Of course, he's also armed with his music book and baton gloves too.

Background

Brien was born and raised in Ireland by a family of shawman that lived near the celtic ruins. Thats where he developed his abilities and met his spirit partner, Yachiro. However, he eventually left his country at the young age of 14 for Aston University. There double majored in literature and music. Finally he finished his studies at Cambridge with a PH.D. in European History at the age of 21. Today, he travels the world teaching in a variety of institutions. Currently, he is teaching music at GU (Gaia University), home of the Dragons (their mascot).

Ah! So you picked up on that eh? I didn't think anyone would notice immediately because she was a minor role in Bleach. Still, I liked the name, and her personality fit really well with the kind of sidekick I had in mind. Thats why I borrowed that name smile Good job in recognizing it.
