Seeing as no one appeared to bother to read my suggestion in the thread, I'm making in an announcement.
Some members in their "request to join" form don't have an RP sample or ask for help. When I see that, I immediately PM that prospective member to get one, or give them a little tutorial. When I've decided they're good enough to pass, I go to the join requests and they've been declined. They can not join again for another 2 weeks, and it's annoying.
PLEASE! Stop dealing with the join requests. In the suggestions thread I said that we should appoint someone to that job, but no one read it I guess. I'll do it for now. If someone else would rather do it, that's fine with me as well. The only thing is that you have to ask for RP samples if they have none, and if they ask for help you must give a little tutorial.

Well, that's a little unfair of us to just shove all of the work on Sumi. XP
I did read the suggestion thread, but... I had nothing useful to say. I'm always worried that I'll accept the n00bs and stuff if I do it D:
And I checked just a few minutes ago, and there were TWO with no RP samples, and no real signal of having actually read the front page.
Sheesh DX
It's not like we have a huge amount of text there- I've seen guilds that explain everything in painful detail. That's just a bit ignorant of them, isn't it?
[I didn't accept or decline them, by the way. So if they've disappeared by the time someone else checks, it wasn't me! D:]
Yeah. I mean, I'd love to help, but I'm worried I'll suddenly get an onslaught of homework and social-life, and won't be able to do it, or I'll do it wrong XP
I'm sorry T.T

I'm quite alright with continuing to do it. As for the people who don't seem like they've read the front page.. I end up PMing them anyways. I ask everyone for a roleplay sample, and if they give it, great. If they don't, I forget about them.

<.< I'll be man enough to admit it.
Gler's been denying a few requests. Not all! Some, I was like "ugh...." and was undecisive, so I waited for someone else to see the request and deal with it. Now I see that I wasn't being lazy doing that... ;;;>.>
Either way, Gler is sorry. He just thinks that if you want to join a guild, you should at least use grammar and such. Honestly, Gler sees it like a college application, or something to that effect. If you scribble on an application in sloppy letters with crayon, you won't likely get accepted, whereas if you at least manage to write it in good handwriting with pen, they at least take a glance at it, ya know?
But, I see that this frustrates you, so Gler shall not look at join requests from here forth. Sorry for being an inconvenience.

Hmm....I can't say that I really involve myself in accepting/denying requests. I'm just not active enough for that...
*checks current requests*
...So...they're supposed to have their RP sample with the requests...or...not?
*ish confussed*

@ Gler: I kinda see it the same way as you. But even so, I'll PM them asking for samples and whatnot. If I don't get it then, that's too bad. We're helping members learn how to roleplay well here, as well as givng the experienced roleplayers somewhere to battle. When I first joined, I had no idea how to roleplay, or even what it was. My grammar and spelling was horrendous, and look at me now. This guild has shaped me into a literate-ish person! XD
@ Darkshock: They're supposed to give us one somehow. I changed it so they could PM me with it if they want, seeing as NO ONE is putting it in their requests. I PM them if they don't have it. Whether or not they respond is up to them.

So, we've basically become an RP training school?

No. We're a place to roleplay with powers of the elements. If the newbies want to learn, they can hone their skills here instead of trying to get into super crazy guilds where they'll probably be overwhelmed and insulted.

Wait...so who is doing it? O_O Sumi? I think we should have two people to do it. So if one person isnt able to do it, the other can.

How about I do it? I haven't been doing anything around the guild so how about I do this? We all know I can handle this easy. Let alone I want to have a point for being a crew member not just to look preatty.

Ok Icheti. You can help me out. n_n I've already sent PMs to the people on the request to join list. Whether or not they reply is up to them.

Here is the deal. We do the job every other day then. You take one day I take the next. We should make a list of people trying to join and then check their names off with either an S for Sumi or an I for Icheti that will say who sent the request. Then we won't be sending like 3 requests lol.
