Wow, I can't believe that there wasn't a single thread in this section eek I've got an excellent contribution though.
The name of this manga is After School Nightmare, just like the title says.
Written and illustrated by Setona Mizushiro, vol. 1 was published by Go! comic in America just this last September and vol. 5 is soon to be released in October 2007.
Reading only the back cover or reviews of manga is never enough, never more so than with this one. The intellectual experience of reading this manga has been substantially affective. I was abso-bloody-loutly blown away by what I had just read back in Sept. '06 and the plot continues to uphold the same image that was instilled in me back then. I seriously give this manga's first volume *****5 stars so at least check that one out.
This manga gets deals with sexual and gender identity in a very real way. It contains some graphic violence and one pannel eye bulgers but no smutt or obscene language to ruin the overall suspension of disbelief.
The synopsis follows Mashiro Ichijo's secret and revealings of said secret. Mashiro’s secret is that he’s neither fully male nor female.
So far being able to live life as a boy, Mashiro’s informed of a new class he must take in order to graduate from his elite prep school. To pass, he must find the “Key" which resides inside in a literal nightmare world where his body and soul are put at the mercy of his classmates.

Wow. That preview was interesting. I'll have to pick up Vol 1 after I get the other volumes of Octopus Girl! 3nodding
